Fresh from the oven: Chocolate & Vanilla Conchas! 🤍🤎

If you’ve never had one before, a co**ha is a traditional Mexican sweet bread topped with a sweet, crackly cookie crust. Soft, fluffy, and perfect with a cup of coffee.

These will be packaged as a mixed box with one chocolate and one vanilla co**ha. 💕

✨ The snack wall is growing! ✨

I’ve been busy stocking shelves, labeling goodies, and adding even more snacks and trinkets to the farmstand.

The snack wall is filling up with crackers, popcorn, granola, candied nuts, snack mixes, and more—with new flavors being added all the time! 🍿🥨

The trinket section is starting to come together too. We’ve got rings, wristlets, crew socks, claw clips, hand towels, tote bags, pens, and other fun little treasures making their way onto the shelves. 💍🧦🍄🐸

The sunshine is here, the garden is growing, and the ovens are finally behaving themselves! 🥹💜

We’ll be celebrating some of our favorite zoo animals with themed treats, fun surprises, zoo stickers, and our Akron Zoo ticket giveaway—all from the comfort of our little self-serve farmstand. 🦦🦩🐧

🧹 A Little Website Refresh! 🧹

If you’ve visited our website recently, you may have noticed things moving around a bit or fully disappeared. 😅

I’ll be spending some time this week cleaning up and reorganizing our Bakesy page. As Hex Hollow has grown, I’ve found myself making so many different breads, treats, snacks, drink kits, books, and seasonal goodies that the website became a bit of a tangled mess or just not updated at all.

My goal is to make ordering easier, keep information up to date, and better showcase the ever-changing menu we offer each week.

🌿✨ THE GARDEN HAS OFFERED ITS FIRST GIFT ✨🌿

After months of planning, building beds, hauling soil, and hoping I wasn’t accidentally creating the world’s most expensive dirt collection…

The Hex Hollow garden has shared its first harvest. 🖤

Today’s offering: garlic scapes. 🧄✨

These whimsical little curls are the flowering stems of hardneck garlic. Harvesting them allows the garlic bulbs hidden beneath the soil to continue growing strong throughout the summer.

As a first-year gardener, I wasn’t prepared for how magical it would feel to walk into the garden with an empty basket and return with something I had grown myself.

It’s a small harvest, but every great garden begins with a first basket.

The tomatoes are still dreaming of summer.
The peppers are settling into their new homes.
The potatoes are busy working their underground magic.
And somewhere beneath the soil, dozens of garlic bulbs are quietly preparing for their turn.

For now, I’ll happily celebrate these curly green dragon tails and the reminder that the garden is growing exactly as it should. 🌱✨
