We were recently invited to Washington, D.C. to represent Slice at Capitol Hill as one of roughly twenty small businesses from across the country participating in the 3rd annual showcase hosted by the U.S. House Committee on Small Business.
To say we’re honored would be an understatement. The committee contacted us directly — and for a small business built from the ground up, that moment means everything!
This showcase brings small business owners to speak directly with Congress about the realities of building something from nothing. The challenges, the risks, the resilience, the wins — all of it.
Some of you have been following along as we’ve partnered with , traveling from Chicago to Las Vegas representing what makes Raleigh special on a national stage. This invitation feels like a natural continuation of that work — expanding our mobile concept with the world’s first EV Pie Truck and using food as a way to invite people into our city and our story.
Tourism strategy at its finest.
In a couple of weeks, we’ll be heading to D.C. with North Carolina roots, a whole lot of sweetness, and a story grounded in community, resilience, and pie.
