Okay, story time... because you all know I am a storyteller at heart.

This week is a fun one around here.

It's Father's Day week. It's our Pride Week. And one of my favorite movie franchises is back with the release of Toy Story 5.

Now if you really want to know... Sporky is my favorite. 😂

And apparently now he has a bride... Knifey. I mean, come on. How could we not make cookies for that?

So while I may occasionally go off on a tangent about animated utensils, we've filled the shop with some really fun bakery treats this week—from Father's Day cookies to Pride cookies to Toy Story-inspired goodies, crack bread loaves, cheesetorte cups, bruffins, and more.

But there's something else I hope you'll take a moment to notice when you stop in.

Look beyond the cookies.

Look at the hand-painted trays. The beautiful decoupage pieces. The handmade gifts. The 3D printed creations. The handmade journals. The one-of-a-kind treasures tucked throughout the shop.

Every one of those items was created by a real person right here in our community. People with jobs, families, dreams, hobbies, and incredible talent who pour their hearts into making something special.

Nothing makes me happier than seeing one of those handmade pieces find its new home and leave the shop tucked inside one of our pretty Busias bags.

Your support doesn't just buy a cookie or a gift.

It helps artists create. It helps small businesses grow. It helps dreams stay alive.

And for that, I am so incredibly grateful.

This week at Busias XOXO feels a little extra special. ❤️

As I was putting together this week's menu, I realized it tells three different stories.

One is about celebrating the dads, grandpas, stepdads, and father figures who have grilled the burgers, fixed the broken things, told the corny jokes, and shown up when it mattered most. That's where our Steakhouse Potato Bruffins, Italian Bruffins, In My Grill Era Cupcakes, Father's Day Cookie Sets come in! They deserve something special!

Another is about celebrating love, acceptance, and being exactly who you are. Our Pride Cupcakes and Rainbow Sprinkle Cheesetorte Cups are a colorful reminder that everyone deserves a place at the table.

And then there's the kid in all of us. This Friday brings the release of Toy Story 5, and we couldn't resist having a little fun with To Infinity and Bacon Bruffins and Sheriff Star Cheesetorte Cups.

Of course, you'll also find some Busias favorites waiting for you too—Mini Crack Bread Loaves, Gourmet Fudge, Polish Cheesetorte, and Chocolate Chip Cookies.

A little over six months ago, I unlocked the door to Busias XOXO for the very first time.

Truthfully, I had no idea if anyone would come.

I had a dream, a tiny storefront on 3rd Street, a lot of love, and a community that kept encouraging me to keep going.

Today, six months later, I find myself looking around the shop in disbelief.

Hundreds of custom cookie orders. Thousands of bakery treats. New friendships. Workshops. Vendor partnerships. Laughter. Tears. Memories.

And every single bit of it happened because of YOU!

🥚🇵🇱 Yesterday was such a special afternoon at Ambitious Vibes Candle Bar! 🇵🇱🥚

We gathered to celebrate the beautiful Polish tradition of Pisanki egg decorating, and the creativity that filled the room was incredible.
Each participant started with the same eggs, paints, and inspiration sheets, yet every finished design was completely unique. From traditional floral patterns to bold modern creations, each egg told its own story.

One of the things I love most about these workshops is watching people connect with a tradition that has been passed down through generations while creating memories of their own.

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who joined us and to Ambitious Vibes Candle Bar for hosting such a wonderful event.

🇺🇸❤️ Last time, we delivered cookies and cards to Veterans... and the response was something I'll never forget. ❤️🇺🇸

That's why we're doing it again.

On June 27, we're hosting another Cards for Vets & Buy a Vet a Cookie event, and we're hoping to make an even bigger impact than before.

Our goal is to donate MORE cookies than we did at our last event.

Our goal is to create MORE handmade cards filled with messages of gratitude.

Every cookie purchased becomes a reminder that someone appreciates their sacrifice.
Every card tells a Veteran, "You are not forgotten."

We're also incredibly honored to welcome Cheryl McCrary, All American Mrs. Wisconsin Lady, who will be joining us and sharing live music throughout the event.

The last three days have been one of those stretches that remind me exactly why I love what we do.

Over the past few days, we've been busy creating:

🐾 Puppy-themed cookies and cupcakes to celebrate an incoming fur baby to their family ❤️

🎓 University of Illinois graduation cookies for a milestone years in the making.

🌊 Adorable under the sea themed. Prom at Elder Care Cottages.

🥂 Elegant Toga Inspired anniversary cookies celebrating 29 years of marriage.

🌴 A tropical aloha baby cake with cupcakes for an island sunshine gender reveal.

🧁 And plenty of cupcakes, cookies, and custom treats in between.

Every box that leaves our shop has a story attached to it.

Some celebrate beginnings. Some celebrate accomplishments. Some celebrate love that has lasted nearly three decades. Some celebrate birthdays, graduations, family, friendships, and memories being made.
It's easy to look at a cookie and see flour, sugar, butter, and icing.

But what I see is a graduation party where proud parents are smiling through happy tears.

I see a birthday child excited to open a box of cookies made just for them.

I see families gathered around tables, taking photos before the treats disappear.

I see anniversaries, milestones, celebrations, and moments that people will remember long after the last cookie is gone.

And honestly? That's my favorite part.
