Real Filipino brunch in Brooklyn? Yes, you can.

Pandesal sandos, savory favorites, and cocktails worth ordering twice: Kubo Ubelada, Frozen Watermelon, and Mango Matcha.

At Kubo, weekend brunch means Tapa Pandesal, Longganisa Pandesal, Tocino Pandesal, and BBQ Tofu Pandesal — all served on Arellano Pandesal bread — in one of the best spaces to spend a slow Brooklyn afternoon.

Naturally gluten-free, with crisp cashew meringue on the outside and silky Swiss meringue vanilla bean buttercream at the center.   Basically the sandwich-cookie version of our Classic Sans Rival cake.

We love them chilled or straight from the freezer.  But you do you. We certainly won’t judge.

Queens is home, so this one means a lot. This Saturday, we’re helping MoMA PS1 and Queens Night Market celebrate 50 years of culture, community, and creativity the only way we know how—with authentic Filipino flavors and NYC’s best pandesal.

Pandesal belongs to culture, not outside of it. That’s why our designs pull from music, TV, movies, books, and comedy as much as they do from the wider world of baking and food.

We take our work very seriously, but ourselves not so much—so we like to have fun with the ways that we talk to you.

A lot of what we post starts as a reference, a joke, or a concept that we can’t shake. Eventually we find an intersection with what we’re baking.

And for the record: no agency, no big creative team. It’s just Kian, a laptop, and years of pop-culture.
