Yesterday was my husband's birthday and he wanted a German chocolate cake. I was excited for about 0.5 seconds because I realized dairy free was not easy here.

I had to make my own condensed milk for the icing 🫠 and I was feeling really bad for him because he's the only one who CAN have dairy.... I didn't have high hopes.

We tore that cake up!!

So I can add that to my menu!
It's soo moist!

1 Month from today will be 1 year since our world seemed to be falling apart.

On July 4th we were doing all the American things- parades, bake sales, swimming, parks, fireworks... then, in the middle of the night, we found our son (16months) seizing in his crib.

That was the first of 7 air evac trips to St. Louis, dozens of tests, multiple medications and what felt like 0 answers.

Over the year we had the choice to crumble or trust that God is sovereign, present, and working when we couldn't see or understand it.

We are headed towards this 4th of July looking a lot like last year, "normal", and we celebrate God's goodness and steadfast love in watching healing take place in this little body.

We have witnessed that he keeps his promises -even when we're doubting- and his faithfulness is never lacking -even when we feel alone.

To remember this, we have created
a Rainbow Macaron Flight.

Here's why I disappeared almost 7 months ago.

Out of nowhere, my youngest started having seizures and we spent a great deal of time in STL (still do). After 7 helicopters, 🚁 , 1 ambulance and 2 car rides to the hospital, we are finally managing at home. We have a long way to go and his medical diet is time consuming, so this will be a year of going slow.

I will do what I can for holidays **❤️💜🩷** and simple orders. I'll take a break from the harder stuff just because of time. I may not post a lot, but I'm here!
