There is something about sending your child into a new school year that hits differently.
Tatum is heading into 6th grade, and although I’m sending him back to the same school he went to last year, this year feels different. Maybe it’s his age. Maybe it’s knowing how quickly these years are moving. Maybe it’s realizing that little by little, he needs me differently now.
Whatever it is… it’s hurting this momma heart. 🤍
At the same time, I’m making a big change with my other two.
This year, we are stepping away from public school and joining a Pod. Two days a week learning with the Pod, three days at home/PK with Mom, and two field trips a month. And honestly? I’m excited.
To savor this time.
To really look at what they’re learning.
To be more present for these years that seem to be flying by faster than I ever imagined. Of course, people have opinions.
People told me I couldn’t open PK with three kids.
Now, some are telling me homeschooling two out of the three is biting off more than I can chew.
But if there is one thing I know about myself by now, it’s this…
When my internal tick starts saying, *“Watch me,”* I listen. 😉
Like everything else in my life, I may not have every answer. There will probably be hard days. There will be days I question myself.
But I have learned that just because something feels big doesn’t mean it isn’t meant for you.
So here we go.
Sending one off…for now
Holding two a little closer.
Building PK.
Teaching.
Learning.
Growing.
And trying my hardest to savor every bit of this beautiful, chaotic, exhausting, incredible life. 🤍
Momma heart… we got this.
And to everyone telling me I’m biting off more than I can chew…
Watch me. ❤️
