There’s something humbling about creating something with intention — brick by brick, cup by cup, prayer by prayer. Along the way you meet the truly special souls who change your life for the better. You also meet the difficult ones… the people clearly carrying battles you cannot see. The competition that tries to shake you. The voices that attempt to dim what God is growing.

But even that has purpose.
The darkness reminds you why you chose the light in the first place.

Every hard moment, every encouraging word, every unexpected connection becomes part of the foundation. Part of building something greater than coffee, greater than business — something rooted in peace, kindness, grit, faith, and community.

Grace takes time.
Growth takes endurance.

At PK, Memorial Day is more than a long weekend — it’s a time to reflect on sacrifice, courage, and the families who carry those heroes in their hearts every single day. We are forever grateful for those who served and laid down their lives for this country.

As we gather with friends, family, coffee, and community today, may we never forget the true meaning behind this day.

From our PK family to yours — thank you to all who have served and sacrificed. Including my very own husband.

Blessed beyond words.

Today a Christian biker crew rolled through PK to pray, speak life, and push back the darkness. These past two months have been massive — beautiful, painful, exhausting, inspiring… all at once. Funny how when something good is growing, when love is being poured into people, when light starts shining bright — there will always be attempts to dim it.

But these lights? They shine brighter.
My staff. My friends. My cheerleaders. The people God keeps placing around me. They’ve lifted me in ways they’ll never fully understand.
Yes — PK is a coffee shop.

But it’s also faith. Community. Hope. A safe place. A reminder that people still care deeply for one another. A place built on love for something bigger than ourselves.
Today these men stood in prayer and rebuked the heaviness, the evil, the fear, and the attacks that try to creep in. And I was reminded again that no matter how dark this world can feel… the light of good people, real faith, and genuine love is still so incredibly bright.
Keep shining. The world needs it. ✨🙏🏼🏍️

Never did I realize the impact PK would have on me — let alone on others. The friendships formed, the faces that have become familiar, the people who somehow became part of my heart so quickly.

Some truly special souls have walked into my life through this little coffee shop, and I never take that lightly. Today was one of those moments that stops you in your tracks — watching one dear staff member and friend run out the door to pray over another friend carrying the weight of an upcoming surgery. She knew he needed someone beside him, and she didn’t hesitate.

THIS is what I pictured.
This is the vision.
This is the reason.

Not just coffee. Not just drinks. But people loving people well. Community. Comfort. Prayer. Presence.

And somehow, through all of it, I’m the blessed one. So grateful for every person who has walked into PK on this journey that somehow feels like both a million years and just the beginning. 🤍
