This week, our HRG team had the pleasure of gathering at the Duquesne Club to hear from guest speaker Billy Armstrong during his “Bring the Juice” presentation.
Billy currently serves as the Varsity Head Coach at Bergen Catholic High School and is the founder of the Hoop Dreamz AAU Basketball program. Prior to his coaching career, he earned a Division I basketball scholarship to Davidson College and went on to play professionally for six years in both Europe and the United States. Throughout his career, he has helped develop numerous collegiate and professional athletes.
During his presentation, Billy shared his leadership philosophy and insights on cultivating a positive team environment. He emphasized a “character first, player second” approach, highlighting the importance of integrity, accountability, and culture in building successful teams.
It was an engaging and insightful discussion that challenged us to think about how we grow our teams and continue developing as leaders.
