Cupcake Club š§: Spring Color Theory Cupcakes
This is color theory in buttercream. No pastels, full saturation, tulip energy.
Two color relationships doing all the work here:
Complementary colors are opposites on the color wheel. Pink and green sit directly across from each other which is exactly why they create that tension and contrast. Your eye canāt stop bouncing between them. Thatās the pop.
Analogous colors are neighbors on the wheel. The red bows and pink ruffles sit right next to each other so they layer with warmth without competing. The yellow accents do the same thing near the green. They support the contrast instead of fighting it.
Save this for the next time youāre stuck on a color combo. Pick your main color, find its opposite, and start from there. Pick a third color thatās next to either and you have a color combination that actually works.
