Had some fun with tomatoes this week on a custom order for Olivia and João’s tomato-themed engagement party! We made them one sweet pie and one savory tart for their intimate celebration with family:

Strawberry & Tomato Pie - Strawberry chess, sweet tomato jam, fresh strawberry & cherry tomatoes, Thai basil, flaky crust

Arroz de Tomate Tart - Rice, heirloom tomato, garlic, onion, white wine, olive oil, fresh parsley, Maldon salt, pâte brisée. A play on the classic Portuguese dish.

❗️This week @ Babes, plus an important announcement ❗️

This weekend will be your last chance to get your Babes fix before Labor Day Weekend! We will be closed to the public for the whole month of August to plan, test, and prep for the holidays & some other really exciting things happening in the near future. We are SO grateful for your support, and appreciate your patience and understanding while we’re on a short “break.”

You will still be able to find some of our products at Riffraff Bookstore + Bar , Coastal Roasters , and Young Family Farm, LLC throughout August though, so please pay them a visit if you need a sweet treat before we return!!

We have a couple new items for you this week, so get em while you can:

🥭 Mango Lime Bun - Soft & sweet bun filled with mango lime custard, rolled in lime leaf sugar, and topped with fresh glazed mango

🥥 Coconut Black Sesame Bread Pudding - Cardamom buns soaked and baked in coconut custard, topped with black sesame caramel and toasted coconut

🍹 Painkiller 🍹

Our take on the classic tiki cocktail of the same name. Coconut-orange custard, pineapple & Pusser’s Navy Rum jam, grated nutmeg, Luxardo maraschino cherry, salted graham crust. Available gluten-free!

🥭 Genmaicha & Mango Tart 🥭

Genmaicha is a Japanese green tea that is mixed with roasted brown rice, which gives the tea a toasty, nutty flavor. It makes for a really delicious and intensely green custard that is not too sweet, and has an earthiness that pairs well with the bright & sweet mango. Plus, the color combo is LUSH.

We have a few slices left for tomorrow’s pickup. Order at the link in bio for pickup at our kitchen in Pawtucket.

🍑 Peach Cardamom Pie: Fresh peaches, cardamom, flaky crust

🥥 Coconut Pandan Bun: Sweet bun filled with coconut pandan jam, rolled in toasted coconut sugar

🍍 Piña Colada Bread Pudding: Pineapple upside down sticky buns soaked and baked in coconut custard, topped with vanilla whip and a maraschino cherry
