Well, I feel this post is necessary. I work hard for our little bakery to be successful. Pawtucket and the surrounding communities has helped make our success possible!! I take a lot of pride in our products service, giving back to the community and many other options to say thank you!!! Giving the utmost best customer service. I have an extreme amount of patience!!! But what I don’t have patience for is for someone trying to scam me!!!! On Thursday, someone texted my bakery pretending to work with another local company to place an order! The order consisted 25 dozen cupcakes and 25 other desserts that I do!! I spent hours going back and forth with this person!!
The amount of the order was $1,345.89! Great fantastic networking at its best!! Well some red flags were going off. Well, I contacted a family member of a friend who works at said local company. They contacted their boss. So the person placing the order did actually send me a check!!! Well, with that said, I went to the bank it was a legit account but with another company!! My friends boss said no it’s not us! So I started looking more into it and the person did not count on me knowing my red flags!! So with that one person trying to commit fraud with myself, the company
He said he worked for and the other company the check was written on! I did go to the police!!! But they told me, no crime was committed so they won’t do anything!! I was pi**ed 😡!! Because I know my sh**, I saved myself, and two other innocent companies!!!! So because of this being the 4th or 5th time someone trying to scam me and I am sure that won’t be all, I will need to
Change a couple of things I do out of trust. I apologize to my existing customers! But, to be able to keep people from trying to scam me, I have to be more careful with how I do business!! Will not mention the other company out of respect!! Not that I said anything wrong but someone tried to deface their hard working company as well! And to the other company, glad I reported it to the bank because they could be out of a lot of money!! So to anyone else wanting to try and set a scam!!!! I am not stupid!!! I know a lot of different red flags. If you have a personal issue with me, don’t be a coward and come to me face to face outside my bakery! Don’t ruin all of our hard work to make our bakery a pride and joy go down the tubes because you want to be ignorant! It’s been almost 10 years for us!!! Yes US!! A lot of people have helped get where we are!! So if I seem to be changing things for future orders this is why!!! If you have any thoughts please feel free to share!!!
