DID YA MISS OUT ON A SAUSAGE ROLL THIS MORNING?!

We did have plenty… until one absolutely wonderful lady casually walked out with 16 sausage rolls and 9 lamingtons.

Honestly… we respect the commitment.

ROUND TWO OF THE SAUSAGE ROLLS ARE IN THE OVEN and will be hot, flaky and ready in about 30MINUTES!

FRESH FOCACCIA IS UP AND READY!
Hot, fluffy, olive-oily deliciousness just waiting for ya.

AND because apparently the ovens have absolutely no intention of having a smoko today…

CINNAMON ROLLS ARE COOKIN’ TOO!
They’ll be fresh, gooey and ready very soon!

This morning at the bakery, Thomas is pictured proudly holding the final slab of focaccia before it met its inevitable fate…

And the result? 18 bags of freshly baked focaccia are READY TO GO!

We’ve also still got a handful of Aussie meat pies , a bunch of sausage rolls, our regular fresh-baked breads, and a dessert case that is FULL and dangerously tempting. 🤤

Basically, we baked like absolute lunatics this morning.

Come and get it before Thomas starts hugging the focaccia instead of cutting it. 😂

The koala is clearly a little too excited… and frankly, so are we!

We’re reopening tomorrow (Wednesday) from 8am, ready for a fresh new week with:

🥧 Meat pies
🌭 Sausage rolls
🍞 Freshly baked bread
🍰 A display case FULL of sweet treats

The ovens will be firing, the pastry will be flaky, and the koala has absolutely no chill. 😂

A little update from Koala & Crumb:

Due to a family medical emergency today, we’ve made the difficult decision that we will not be opening this Saturday. 😢

We’re always so excited for our Saturday trade (and for the beautiful chaos that comes with trying to keep up with all of your pie, sausage roll and sweet treat needs!), so we’re genuinely sorry from the bottom of our hearts. But right now, we need to take a little time to be with our family.

We’ll be back up and running on Wednesday, and hopefully everything will be back to normal — ovens blazing, dough rising (or overflowing!) and an endless supply of pies and sausage rolls… or at least we’ll give it a red-hot go!!

Thank you for the incredible love and support you’ve shown our little bakery. We feel genuinely blessed to be part of such a wonderful community, and we appreciate your understanding more than you know.

We’re so sorry we can’t satisfy your Saturday treat needs this week. ❤️

Give your people an extra squeeze from us, and we’ll see you Wednesday.

🌧️ Apparently Mother Nature had other plans this morning…

Due to the excessive rain, we’re running a wee bit behind and will be opening at 9AM today!

But don’t worry — by 9, the cases will be full, the ovens will have done their thing, and we’ll have MEAT PIES ready to go. 🥧🇦🇺

And look at this bread… literally made with love. ❤️🍞

Turns out, sometimes the early bird doesn’t get the worm. Sometimes the smart bird sleeps in, avoids the rain, rolls in after 9… and gets a meat pie. 😂

🚨 EVERYBODY REMAIN CALM. WE HAVE MEAT PIES. 🇦🇺🥧

Before anyone gets too excited… I made 12.

Well, technically 11, because obviously I have to taste-test one. Quality control is a heavy burden, but I’m willing to make the sacrifice. 😂

Are they perfect? ❌ Not to me.
Is the pastry flaky? ABSOLUTELY.
Is the puff pastry puffy? She’s puffin’!!
Do they taste bloody delicious? YES!
Is there a super cute koala on there, well derrr! 😎
Is this their final form? Not quite.

But they’re getting there, and today 11 brave little Aussie meat pies are heading into the cabinet. 🥧

We’ve also got a bunch of sausage rolls, the dessert case is FULL, and bread is having a slightly slower start to the morning because apparently I cannot do 47 things at once.. 😉

🔥 Cheese, Bacon & Jalapeño bread is ready, with the rest of the bread gang joining us later this morning.

So… ELEVEN PIES. That’s it.

We appear to have lost control of the focaccia dough. 😂

It’s alive. It’s thriving. It has ambitions. And judging by this morning’s proof… it’s currently embarking on a hostile takeover of Panama City…. And looking to apply for its own zip code.

So, safe to say, we’re going to have a LOT of fresh focaccia today. 😂 Come help us contain the situation by eating it.

One week in, and we’re feeling all the emotions! 🐨🥹🇦🇺

We’ve been learning, adjusting, baking like mad and doing our best to keep up with all the love you’ve shown us 😂 Every day brings a new lesson, a little more confidence and a few more baked goodies coming out of the kitchen.

And the best part? You keep selling us out! 🤯

To everyone who has stopped by, returned for another treat, brought a friend, put your treats in socials, shared a kind word or supported us from afar — thank you. You’ve made our first week so incredibly special. ❤️

One week down, and we couldn’t be more grateful. 🐨🥐🇦🇺
