We’re just about ready to go! Our food safety inspection is in the works and should be completed very soon 🤞🏼 so we can soon lock in that opening date!
In the meantime, I couldn’t wait any longer and had Tony put up this super cute vintage koala clock we found for the shop. Absolute ripper, right? 🤠

We’re so excited to be teaming up with Pixie Nut & Co. to bring a touch of Western Australia to the USA with their beautiful handmade wooden jewelry featuring iconic Aussie animals and native flowers 🌸🐨

We’ll also have a range of fun Aussie-inspired goodies and homewares available to browse while you grab your favourite treats… and yes, as you can see, we are VERY well stocked on the Vegemite front 🇦🇺😂

🚨AUSSIE ALERT: Things are getting dangerously delicious in the Koala & Crumb kitchen…🚨

We’ve been playing around with menu items and this little beauty may have just earned itself a permanent spot 👀

Say g’day to our baked cheesecake featuring the absolute Aussie icon that is the legendary Violet Crumble — crunchy chocolate-covered honeycomb with the most perfect crackly crunch 💥🍯🍫

It’s creamy, chocolatey, crunchy, sweet, and just the right amount of “one more bite won’t hurt.”
(That’s a lie. You’ll absolutely want the whole thing.) 🤣

We’re still testing, tasting, and tweaking recipes as we finalize the menu, which honestly is a very tough job… but someone’s gotta do it 🇦🇺😏

So… the big question is… should this cheesecake officially make the Koala & Crumb lineup? 👇 Let us know what you think!

G’day from our brekkie headquarters! 🇦🇺☀️

We popped into our favourite breakfast spot, Charlie Coram’s Place, for a proper feed and decided it was time to introduce the crew to the mighty VEGEMITE.

Safe to say… some mates were keen as mustard, and others looked more nervous than a kangaroo on roller skates 😂🦘

Nothing says Aussie culture exchange quite like hot coffee, crispy hash browns, and convincing Floridians that black salty toast spread is actually delicious! 🍞🇦🇺

We’ve just shared a cheeky little how-to video showing how we whip up our classic Aussie Vegemite & cheese scrolls — the absolute hero of every school lunchbox and the reason so many happy little Vegemites (aka kids) made it through the day.

Soft, fluffy dough, a bold hit of Vegemite, and a proper generous layer of melty cheese… it’s salty, it’s savoury, and it’s dangerously moreish.

Can’t wait to bring this iconic Aussie bite over to Panama City when Koala & Crumb Bakery opens — you’re all in for a proper treat!

G’day everyone — it’s time for our next installment of … what’s happening at Koala & Crumb Bakery! 🇦🇺🥖

Today was a pretty exciting milestone for us, (and I am one very happy girl!!) with around 90% of our bakery equipment arriving!

We’re now deep in the process of getting everything installed and set up, and for the first time, our little space is really starting to feel like a real bakery.

Over the next few weeks, we’ll be busy learning the new equipment, fine tuning our recipes, taste testing, and making sure everything is just right before we open our doors to the community. There’s still plenty of work ahead, but seeing it all come together has us feeling incredibly grateful and excited for what’s to come.

We’re not quite ready to announce an opening date just yet, but we’re getting closer every day, and we promise we’ll share the news as soon as we can.

A huge thank you as well to the legends at Kesco for the fantastic supply, delivery and setup — we truly appreciate all your hard work and help in bringing Koala & Crumb Bakery to life! 🐨🥖

Two full boxes of taste-size Vegemite have landed at Koala & Crumb and we will be keeping it in stock! Suddenly life feels a little more Australian. 🇦🇺

Whether you’re chasing a proper taste of your other home or curious about one of Australia’s most iconic staples, we’ve got the real deal.

Vegemite isn’t a gimmick — it’s a rite of passage, a pantry essential, and for many of us, practically part of the national diet.

And for our American friends: please, for the love of all things holy, do NOT eat it by the spoonful.

Today, we pause to remember the courage, sacrifice, and mateship of the ANZACs — the Australian and New Zealand soldiers who served and gave so much for our freedom.

ANZAC Day is one of the most important days in Australia, honouring not only those who fought at Gallipoli, but all servicemen and women who have served Australia and the world.

And of course, no ANZAC Day feels complete without an ANZAC biscuit — a humble oat and coconut cookie said to have been sent to soldiers because it traveled well and kept for long periods.

At Koala & Crumb Bakery, we’re proud to share a little piece of Australian culture with our community and to remember the spirit that helped shape a nation.
