This ceiling is already a stunning work of art. But I couldn't help reimagining it through the lens of Kenn Shui – The Psychology of Design.
Rather than scattering color randomly, I organized it into intentional color families that gently flow into one another. A ribbon of reds becomes the focal point, branching into oranges and yellows on one side and purples and blues on the other, with touches of green woven throughout like leaves in nature. Each individual glass piece still retains its own unique character, but together they create a stronger visual rhythm.
This isn't about making something "prettier." It's about understanding how the human brain naturally organizes color, pattern, and movement. When color relationships are intentional, our eyes travel more comfortably, the composition feels more harmonious, and the emotional response becomes stronger. Good design isn't just decoration—it's psychology.

A few years ago, I had the opportunity to completely transform this home in La Quinta. When I first arrived, the exterior was painted a deep yellow, the interior walls were a patchwork of different colors from room to room, and the furnishings felt dated and in need of a total refresh.
I removed every piece of furniture and décor throughout the property—inside and out—creating a blank canvas from which to reimagine the entire environment.
Both the interior and exterior were then repainted in a custom-blended color carefully selected to minimize the pink undertones in the stonework. The transformation was immediate. The home felt warmer, more cohesive, and far more timeless.
Next came the installation of all new furnishings, artwork, and accessories. In just sixty days, the house was so dramatically transformed that it was virtually unrecognizable.
These photographs are from the real estate listing that appeared when the home was recently sold. Seeing them was especially gratifying because I realized that not a single piece of furniture, artwork, or décor had been changed since I completed the project. Years later, the design remained exactly as I had envisioned it—a testament to the enduring quality and timelessness of thoughtful design.
