Day 3 of Recovery ❤️‍🩹

Today’s recovery meal comes courtesy of my absolutely amazing neighbors, who have truly become like family to me.

Homemade chicken soup, fresh bread, and these beautiful flowers. 💐🍲🥖

I couldn’t exactly ask for their secret chicken soup recipe, so I made my own recipe card for this one…

The main ingredient: Pure Neighborly Love. ❤️

It’s amazing how much a simple act of kindness can mean when you’re laid up and recovering. I’m very lucky to have such wonderful people looking out for me.

Day 3: fed, cared for, and very grateful. ❤️

And I’m always looking forward to a new easy recipe to try out while recuperating. Recipes down in the comments.⬇️

Apparently today’s lesson is: if you announce that “no one cares,” you should probably avoid spending the next hour repeatedly commenting on the very post you supposedly don’t care about. 😂

Disagree with something I post? Fine. Scroll past? Even better. But repeatedly coming back to insult someone and call them names because you personally don’t approve of their post?

I cannot express how frustrating this has been.
Immediately after coming home from surgery, I suddenly started getting bombarded with 18+ scam calls a day regarding my Google Business phone number. The timing is honestly strange, but more than anything, just exhausting.
Of course, after major procedures, you’re on medication that make you tired and loopy and I am not exception to that. To suddenly get all these scam callers while still waiting for real phone calls from medical personnel is so frustrating.
I did not go onto any sketchy websites recently, or fill out any information what anyone.
AnyWho, just wanted to express my frustration. Thanks for listening

I’m going to need some good crockpot recipes! 🥘

Now that my foot surgery is done and I’m starting the long recovery, cooking is obviously going to look a little different around here for a while.

I’ll be spending a lot of time off my feet, so I’m looking for easy crockpot meals that I can put together without a lot of standing or prep work.

If you have a crockpot recipe that you absolutely love and actually make at home, please share it with me in the comments!

I’m open to just about anything—chicken, beef, pork, soups, stews, pasta, comfort food… whatever is good!

I have a feeling the crockpot is going to be getting a workout over the next few months. 😂❤️

I had gotten home from Surgery now 🏠
I am over starved 😆
I am so dizzy from the anesthesia 😵‍💫
And so sleepy 😴

But everything was successful.
I’ll definitely keep you updated when I could be up and about slamming cookie trays 😊

• A Little Update from Roundabout Cottage V
Tomorrow, I'll be undergoing a very invasive foot surgery, and I'm asking my Roundabout Cottage family to please keep me in your thoughts and prayers.
My biggest prayer is for a safe and successful surgery, with no complications on the operating table, and for the strength and patience needed for the long recovery ahead.

Roundabout Cottage has become so much more than a little business to me. I truly love creating for you, seeing familiar faces, meeting new ones, and being part of this wonderful community.
I'm hoping and praying that this surgery will eventually allow me to come back stronger and once again do what I love - baking, creating, and serving this community.

For now, Roundabout Cottage will be taking a little rest while I heal.
Thank you to everyone who has supported my little cottage along the way. Every prayer, kind thought, messade and hit of encouragement means more to me than you know.
