Okay, we know it still feels very much like summer outside, but Brenton and I are ready for fall as you can see by our posts today—so we decided Mama Dory’s table should be too! 🍂

Fall has always been Brenton’s and my favorite season of all. 🍂🤎

There’s just something about fall in New York that stays with you — crisp air, changing leaves, apple orchards, warm cider, cozy sweaters, and that unmistakable feeling that something magical has arrived with the season.

Florida may not give us quite the same autumn we grew up with 😂🌴… but every year, we do our best to bring a little of that old-fashioned fall magic into our lives — and fill our little shop with it, too. 🍎🍁

So lately, the two of us have been tucked away working on our fall menu… dreaming up all the warm spices, baked apples, pumpkin, cinnamon, maple and cozy little treats that remind us of the falls we grew up loving.

And we thought we’d give you just a little peek at what will soon be filling our bakery cases… 🍂✨

Trust us, this is only the beginning. 🤎

Until Florida decides to give us sweater weather, we’ll just have to create our own little autumn at Italian Princess. 👑🍁

🍂🇮🇹 It’s the last weekend of August… and we’re starting to feel that fall vibe. 🇮🇹🍂

Florida may still feel like summer, but at Mama Dory’s table, we’re ready for cozy dinners, warm Italian comfort food and the first little taste of autumn. 🤎

So this Friday through Sunday, Mama Dory’s Dinner Special is getting its first taste of FALL with five new additions to the table:

🍄 Wild Mushroom Ravioli — wild mushroom ravioli in garlic Alfredo, topped with creamy burrata

🍅 Baked Gnocchi alla Vodka — potato gnocchi tossed in our vodka sauce with ricotta & mozzarella, baked until bubbly

🍄 Stuffed Chicken Marsala — Italian chicken cutlet stuffed with mozzarella & prosciutto, topped with mushroom Marsala sauce over pasta

🌿 Tuscan Sausage Penne — penne tossed with Italian sausage & sun-dried tomatoes in a spicy garlic white wine sauce, topped with creamy burrata

🍂 Short Rib Ravioli — tender short rib-filled ravioli tossed in a brown butter & thyme sauce, finished with freshly shaved Parmesan

It’s a HARD ROLL.

Not a Kaiser roll.
Not a dinner roll.
Not a hamburger bun.
Not a sandwich roll.
And definitely not a “why would anyone want a roll that’s hard?” roll. 😂

It’s a HARD. ROLL.

Ok.. ok… you can call it anything you want, but from where we are from (Queens, NY) it’s called a hard roll 🤔😂

And for the record… “hard” does NOT mean stale, rock hard, or capable of breaking a tooth. 🤦‍♀️😂

It’s that slightly crisp, chewy outside with the soft, airy inside — the kind you grew up grabbing from the neighborhood bakery in a paper bag, and somehow one was always missing before you made it home.

And these days, weekends at The Italian Princess mean the hard rolls are back in the oven and ready for some BEC’s with SPK!

Before there can be a Duchess… there has to be a bagel worthy of her. 😂

And around here, that starts by hand. Literally.

Every single one of our bagels is hand rolled right here at The Italian Princess. No bagel-forming machines. No conveyor belt spitting out perfect little circles. Just dough, two hands, and a whole lot of rolling. 🥯❤️

And this morning, those bagels are getting ready for a rather unruly member of the royal family…

Our second Royal Decree Breakfast creation:

They say the world could use a little more sweetness… and lately, we’re inclined to agree. 😉🍰❤️

So while some people are busy sprinkling a little too much negativity around, we’ll be over here sprinkling chocolate instead. 😂

Because around here, we’ve always believed it’s sweeter to be sweet. And if there’s one thing The Italian Princess knows how to do, it’s turn a little sour into something REALLY delicious. 👑✨

And speaking of sweet… we have a BRAND NEW Rainbow Cookie Cheesecake in the case! 🌈🍰❤️ One of mine and Brenton’s absolute favorites — because honestly, rainbow cookies + cheesecake? There was really no way we weren’t making that happen. 😂

The bakery case is LOADED with all kinds of sweetness today, so come grab yourself a treat.

👑📜 HEAR YE, HEAR YE… A NEW WEEKEND TRADITION HAS ARRIVED! 📜👑

Introducing THE ROYAL DECREE BREAKFAST 👑🥯

Every Saturday & Sunday, we’re throwing normal breakfast out the castle window and creating ONE brand-new, totally wacky breakfast sandwich.

And here’s the rule…

It only reigns for ONE weekend.

When Sunday ends, that sandwich is officially dethroned — and the following Saturday, an entirely new creation takes the crown. 👑

Of course, for our grand debut we managed to miss Saturday. 😂 So our very first Royal Decree gets a ONE-DAY REIGN!

📜 ROYAL DECREE NO. 1: THE EXILED PRINCE 👑

Two fried eggs, Taylor ham, provolone, European raspberry jam & cream cheese, piled onto one of our hand-rolled bagels.

Sweet + salty + creamy + cheesy… and just strange enough that you HAVE to try it. 😂

The Exiled Prince reigns TODAY ONLY!

When we close today, he returns to exile. 👋👑

Then next Saturday morning, a brand-new member of our slightly dysfunctional Royal Court takes the throne.

And trust us… we have some VERY questionable ideas. 😂
