The last batch of eggs going into the incubator. My BIG BOY Rooie (Chocolate English Orpington) who has his Mauve, Blue and Chocolate Ladies with him is laying quite well. Along with just the starts of the BCM, Olive, Sage hens. Our other Orpington pens are picking up nicely after some feeding changes and our layer coop is doing so very well that I need to now be selective as to what goes in the 'Bator.

Getting this weeks incubator eggs ready. I'm cutting back on my breeding pens in prep for Les' surgery. However, I'm going to restock my laying hens since a number of my girls are ladies of a certain age and we had an unwelcome visitor. I love the personalities of the ladies we do have and they supply such pretty eggs and I'd like to continue the good aspects we have developed over the years. 98% of the eggs are for my layer coop and maybe 5 are for my lovely English orpingtons. The only ones we are hatching will be for the Blue, Chocolate, Mauve program everything has been put in for breakfast or baking eggs. One of my REALLY lovely Mauve young ladies who's been covered by new BIG BIG chocolate roo, lays the PRETTIEST of eggs it like a pinkish peaches egg with white splashes on it. I can't wait to see what pops out of them. Please let just a couple of nice hens come out or at least let them be REALLY REALLY REALLY NICE Roos.

Part of the rearrangement of the farm to prepare for the upcoming heart surgery means I need to par down some of my beautiful English Orpington varieties. This is just killing me to do this, but it must be done. My stunning jubilee family is looking for a new coop to call their own.

I am working on slowly re-accessing my accounts after a severe hacking situation at the end of January this year. Since that lovely experience, we have had a major life change. I was hoping 2025 would be different than the last 5 years without a major illness, injuries or death in the immediate family but that does not look to be the case. As we prepare for a major heart surgery in the very near future we have been working on assessing and restructuring everything here to make it easier to handle with our current and future level of health. As many of my friends know all my emails and phone numbers are no longer valid and have no been for a while. I will be on FB sparingly while I try to reset my online life and handle everything else. Please keep any eye out for some exciting updates and changes coming to LFP Farm Life. I’m sorry I’ve been missing in action for so very long. Part of it was due to my medical issues then I experienced a devastating unexpected personal loss that rocked me to my core. It has taken me quite so time to crawl out of the hole I crawled into afterwards. I’m still putting a lot of the pieces together on the revamp, and I want to have more loose ends tied up prior to any announcements. I am very excited about this added direction.

Oh my goodness, Ace SOOOOOO missed his MAGNIFICENT magnawave lady Adrienne Ann. He had such a great session this morning. I wish I had brought my phone down to video his happy releases. He’s such a card. I can’t recommend her enough to anyone looking for magnawave services Adrienne is just amazing to work with.
