Back with a yap, and honestly I could talk about this way more. But let’s get into the tips for how to choose the right natural food color.

1. What are you coloring? Royal icing vs buttercream vs chocolate or ganache etc.
2. When do you need it by? The longer you have to plan, the more options you’ll have available.
3. What’s your budget? And if you’re ordering from a brand and have time to spare, order from their site and use a discount code!

Your experience, technique and the scope/size of your project also matter. But many of those can be tweaked to suit the brand you’ve chosen. If you’re switching to using natural colors exclusively , you’ll want to chose a brand you can trust and gain experience with using over time. I also have a freebie linked in my profile that gives you insign into getting good results with natural colors generally.

What else do you want to know about natural brands and products? Always happy to answer those burning questions 😉

Answering your questions with a yap 🤣 honestly I love watching these videos myself so when I saw someone saying that yapping videos are the next big thing I was like, say less!

What else would you like to see me talk about? Cookie cutters are something I get asked about often but I’m happy to talk all things dye-free or baking and decorating related!

I see so many people resisting the urge to switch to natural colors because they (wrongly) think that it’s much more expensive and much more complicated than regular dye.

The truth is that quality ingredients cost more, yes. These food colors are made from natural, plant based products, not petroleum byproducts. However what makes natural colors unaffordable or too confusing for people, is lack of knowledge and technique.

If you knew what you needed to know about these products and how to actually use them, they wouldn’t cost as much. You wouldn’t be wasting money testing stuff and wouldn’t be wasting time or pulling your hair out.

If doesn’t matter if you’re just a mom looking to make better choices for your kids or a cottage food business owner curious about the world of naturals. I have guides and resources to help you learn. Comment FREEBIE if you’re still unsure, or comment RESULTS for the full system - it’s a no-brainer to actually learning how natural colors work in all mediums!
