Did you hear about our exciting weekend? If not here’s the short version; there was a small fire in a storage room in the building where the bakery is located. It was scary but no real damage was done to the shop. Not gonna lie, I was pretty stressed over the whole thing but once I got in to assess I quickly realized I had gotten so lucky! Zero water, ash, soot or fire touched the bakery space! I spent hours cleaning yesterday to help get the smoke smell out and ensure there was no invisible residue. Our county health department stopped by today to give me the thumbs up and we are back to business as usual!!! Honestly, what a relief to have come out of this unscathed and the very minor damage to the building itself.
No retail due to weddings this weekend (and honestly I need a little mental health break anyway), but we’ll be back for the end of the month with retail on 8/28 & 8/29. Maybe some fall flavors making an early appearance …stay tuned!
