This beautiful ring cake was a vanilla cake base layered with smooth vanilla buttercream frosting. Added touches of white chocolate dipped strawberries and “nut free” macarons. Thank you Jean for letting me bake for the special occasion! 🩷🤍🌸

When there is an empty space, artists will always find ways to fill it. 🖤🎨

They pour paint, place nails, stir in sugar and flour, bring solutions, build structures, bring laughter, lift spirits, show love, smear color and offer vision into whatever absence they see that calls them. 🗣️

Sometimes the canvas is an empty work space filled with sawdust and spilled oil. Or a blank piece of paper waiting for the words. Sometimes it's an empty glass bowl waiting for a spoon. A steaming skillet anticipating the perfect sear. The damp soil of a garden waiting to be planted. An empty room before the music and movement. An abused animal waiting patiently to be loved. A struggling pantry waiting to be filled. A person who's lost their light.
And we will always find a way to pour our love into whatever space we feel needs it 🫟🖌️

The point is...Don't stop creating just because you FEEL LIKE that empty space.

It's ok if you don't know how to fill it at times. Or if you're waiting for someone to come and lovingly touch the walls of your soul with color and ink so you can feel cherished and beautiful and admired. This is a reminder that you are NOT the shell. You are not the canvas. 🚫🗒️

You ARE the paint. You are the tool that spreads the medium. You are the journey in progress AND the finished work of art all at once, because you are made of the beauty and the mistakes, the diluted and the solid, the dirt and the perfect brush strokes. You're the giver and the receiver. You are the artist and the beholder. You are all the the things that make art beautiful, that consist of the product and the reveal. You are the experience you provide. 🫶🏻

Do you know why? Because that canvas and work space was blank before you. YOU made it incredible. ❤️‍🩹

You are not an empty cup to be filled. You are not this body that your mind and soul resides in. You are how you make people feel. Your energy is the vibrance around you. You are the color in world. You just forget sometimes to step back and admire yourself for all of it and all that you are. 🖼️
