🍅 DID YOU KNOW? 🍅

Tomatoes aren't just tasty additions to your garden and dinner plate... they're packed with nutrients that can benefit your health in a big way! ❤️

✨ Rich in antioxidants that help protect your body's cells

❤️ Supports heart health with nutrients like potassium and lycopene

☀️ May help support healthy skin thanks to Vitamin C and antioxidants

🛡️ Helps support your immune system with Vitamins A and C

👀 Contains nutrients that help support healthy eyesight

🌱 May help reduce inflammation in the body

⚖️ Low in calories but packed with nutrition

💧 High water content and fiber can help support healthy digestion

One of the biggest stars inside a tomato is something called lycopene a powerful antioxidant that gives tomatoes their beautiful red color and may help support overall health.

🤯 Fun Fact: Cooked tomatoes, such as tomato sauce, salsa, soup, and pasta sauce, can actually make it easier for your body to absorb lycopene. Pair them with a little healthy fat like olive oil, and your body can absorb even more!

Whether you're slicing them onto a sandwich, tossing them into a salad, canning them for winter, or eating them fresh from the garden, tomatoes are one of nature's hardest-working foods. 🍅

👇 Tell us below:

How do YOU like your tomatoes?

🥪 On a sandwich
🥗 In a salad
🍝 In sauce
🧂 With a little salt
🍅 Fresh off the vine

Let's hear it! 👇🍅✨

🍅✨ P.S. Around here in East Tennessee, saying you don't like fresh garden tomatoes might be considered a controversial opinion! 😆

🎶 Go little rock star 🎶 🍓✨

These baby strawberry plants are working overtime getting ready for the 2027 growing season 💃🌱

Right now they may be tiny… but don’t let their size fool you 👀 These little babies are busy putting down roots, settling in, and preparing to absolutely SHOW OUT next year with runners, flowers, and sweet strawberries. 🍓☀️

There is just something magical about watching life grow from something so small into something overflowing with goodness. ❤️

🍅✨ There’s just something magical about a fresh tomato straight from the garden. Warm from the sunshine, picked by hand, and tasting the way tomatoes are actually supposed to taste. 💃

No grocery store tomato can compete with that first juicy slice on a sandwich, a sprinkle of salt, or standing in the kitchen sneaking bites while putting them away. 😌

This right here is summer in the Smokies. 🌿☀️
Hard work, dirt under your nails, and tomatoes so fresh they still smell like the garden.

Garden season is finally starting to show off and y’all… I am HERE for it. ❤️🍅

The goal was to be back today and well that's not happening. We got the good ole Tennessee Crud and its been rough. It snuck in like a theif in the night then next thing you know it was like hitting a brick wall. Fever, cough, stuffy, sore throat, body aches and as soon as you break the fever right back up it went. Closing the kitchen for 2 weeks was not the plan but baking and being sick is not ideal for so many safety reasons. As soon as i/we are over this crud we will be back.

As we head into Memorial Day weekend, we want to take a moment to remember and honor the brave men and women who gave everything for this country 🇺🇸

Freedom is never free, and we are deeply thankful for those who made the ultimate sacrifice so families like ours can live, love, gather, and build small dreams like Mamaw’s Bread & Farm Stand.

We hope everyone has a safe and meaningful Memorial Day weekend ❤️

Thank y’all again for standing beside us through the hard days. We love this community more than y’all know. 🥹✨

Hey y’all ❤️

First, from the bottom of our hearts… thank you.

Thank you for every prayer, every message, every comment, every hug, every kind word, and every ounce of love that has been poured onto our family over these last few days. So many of you have reached out and I just want you to know that we see it, we feel it, and it truly means more than words could ever express.

These past couple days have been some of the hardest we’ve ever walked through.

I don’t think anyone prepares you for what it feels like to watch the person you love completely break apart in front of you. 😔

I’ve seen my husband tired.
I’ve seen him stressed.
I’ve seen him angry.
But this… this is different.

This is grief in its rawest form.

It’s the silence after the tears.
It’s the thousand-yard stare.
It’s him trying to speak and not being able to get the words out.
It’s hearing the hurt in someone’s voice when they realize the word “mom” has suddenly become a memory instead of a person they can call.

And it is absolutely soul crushing to witness.

There is something so sacred about the bond between a mother and her son. She is his first home, his first comfort, the first woman who ever loved him before the world ever got the chance to. And when that bond is broken by death, it leaves behind a kind of ache that reaches places words can’t touch.

I keep trying to stay strong for him, but the truth is… I cry when he’s not looking. Because the man I love is hurting in a way I cannot fix. And I would give anything just to take even a fraction of this pain away from him.

Grief is such a helpless feeling.
You sit there holding someone you love while their heart breaks in your arms, and all you can do is love them through the pieces.

So from our Mamaw’s family to yours, thank you for carrying us in your thoughts and prayers while we navigate this heartbreak together. Your kindness has wrapped around us like a blanket in the middle of a storm, and we will never forget it.

Please continue to keep our family in your prayers in the days ahead. ❤️ Pictured below is my favorite photo of James with his mom.

Hey yall 💔

I wanted to give everyone a heads up that Mamaw’s Bread & Farm Stand will be closed all of next week. Any orders that are placed during that time will be available the following week once we reopen.

This week I’ll be spending time with my husband and our family as his mom passed away today. We would deeply appreciate all the thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.

Thank yall for always supporting us, loving us, and showing so much kindness to our little stand and family. Hug your loved ones a little tighter tonight ❤️

Today’s project at Mamaw’s… the luffa trellis is going up 🤗🌿

Before long these little babies are gonna be climbing high and stretching all across the deck creating a beautiful living shade canopy of green over the deck 💃✨️ The warmer it gets, the faster they grow… and trust me, they are READY to take off 👀

There’s just something special about planting something tiny and watching it turn into something beautiful right before your eyes 🥹

If we take care of nature, nature has a funny way of taking care of us right back 🌻💚
