My scarf is finished and is now pinned out to block. Wisp was a simple to remember pattern, open and reversible. I love that the crocheted bits were spaced out during the plying that they didn't stack like a machine spun yarn might have.

I dropped down from the suggested 5mm needles to 4mm. I was wanting a scarf in width, with a less open mesh as it does get breezy on the island. So far, it feels light and airy, but retains a good amount of warmth during my test wearing.

Tonight I heard the clink of my plying rock making its first appearance. That clink is my notification that this part of is almost over and the next part is fast approaching.

I'll be able to wash this very energetic and see if what I imagined is the same as reality. If it's not, that's okay, it'll be exciting to see the results. I'd like to this, but maybe will be the future method of usage?

Progress is still slow, but I'm seeing hints of the green layer under the pink in the plying ball. While I'm enjoying the novelty of this project, I am secretly relieved that it wasn't a full 4oz braid of wool.

Maybe the next time this mood strikes, I'll try a new approach to see how the end result differs.
