This morning called for a special delivery and a 50-minute road trip to meet with the recipients' father. As a Sugar Angel volunteer with Icing Smiles, I had the absolute honor of donating this custom tiered creation to celebrate a very special milestone: a joint graduation for Abigail and Nathan!
The family requested a classic cream and navy blue color palette, and I had so much fun bringing their vision to life with a literary twist.
Top Tier: Classic vanilla cake paired with a light, refreshing raspberry mousse-style filling.
Bottom Tier: Rich mocha, decadent chocolate cake infused with coffee and layered with smooth mocha buttercream.
The Finish: The entire cake is frosted in a smooth vanilla bean buttercream.
Every element of this design was built with love. The structured bookends standing against the tiers are crafted from sugar paste, while the delicate inner pages are made out of wafer paper. Everything 100 edible!
To tie it all together, I custom-designed the graduation topper to give these grads the royal treatment they deserve!
