As we Celebrate 6 years of AMY & CO. I wanted to reintroduce myself and reminisce a little…
Hi! I’m Amy, the woman in the kitchen.
Owner, baker, ruiner of diets, mom of 1.
I’ve always loved to bake, for as far back as I can remember. Being in the kitchen is my happy place. So I went to the Niagara Culinary Institute right out of high school back when it was still out at NCCC (iykyk).
It has been a joy baking for you all these past 10 years. As some of you may know, before 6926 Buffalo Avenue was AMY & CO. it was Sugar Street Cafe, and before that Macoretta’s. I’ve been here for all 3!
Baking, learning, and growing until I went out on my own in 2020. Which honestly was pretty wild looking back on it haha, opening a business during the height of Covid.
I couldn’t have done it without the support of my very patient husband, amazing friends, & family! I couldn’t thank you all enough for the countless hours of help over the years. Between cleaning, redecorating, paperwork, baking, shopping, coffee runs, wedding cake deliveries, grazing table setups, and the craziest holiday orders pulling 18hour days… you all are my backbone!!
So much has happened over these last 6 years, the loss of my greatest baking inspiration my grandma, and the birth of my son! Juggling a business and raising a child has been a challenge I won’t deny that. I appreciate all of your understanding when I’ve unexpectedly closed for an illness or had to bring the lil guy to work. He inspires me daily to keep pushing forward even through the tough seasons.
I’ve been lucky enough to work with one of my childhood besties Bri. Thank you for being there for me when I needed it most!
When it was time for her to leave and start her own family I was blessed to be able to work with my other besties mama, Jean. Thank you for dealing with all my crazy 🤪
There have been many ups and downs these past 6 years, but one things for certain… it sure has been fun! I hope I’ve been able to make you smile and maybe even curse me for those couple extra pounds haha

Your continued support over these past 6 years has helped this baking mom support her family and live her lifelong dream. Little 6 year old Amy baking along side her grandma would never believe all she has accomplished so far. That’s all thanks to the AMY & CO. customers turned friends 🫶 CHEERS to the next 6 years!
