Hey Sweet Batch friends! ❤️

I’m planning a community fundraiser to help a few local single-parent families this Christmas! 🎄

It will be held at Limelight Dance Studio in New Bern, where families who normally couldn’t afford to spend hundreds of dollars on Christmas pictures will be able to get a few pictures for a minimum $10 donation.

The fundraiser will be held in November, so keep an eye out for more information!

The money raised from the event, along with donations from community members, will be used to help supplement Christmas for a few eligible families in Craven, Jones, and Pamlico counties.

I’m currently looking for sponsors/donors who may be interested in:

- Sponsoring a family
- Sponsoring a Christmas dinner
- Donating to the Christmas fund

I know our special little town can really step up when it matters, and I’m hoping we can come together and make Christmas a little brighter for some local families.

🍪 Porch Stand Season Updates! 🍪

We’re going to be doing things a little differently this year, and honestly, I think it’s going to help me avoid the whole “WHY DID I MAKE 47 DOZEN COOKIES?!” panic bake. 🤣

Here’s what you can expect this season:

-Cinnamon Rolls
I’ll have my regular cinnamon rolls + ONE additional flavor each weekend. There will be a limited amount of each, unless you preorder. So once it’s gone it’s gone!

-Cookies
I’ll have 2–4 cookie varieties each week, depending on what I’m feeling and what you guys are loving!

-A Few Extras
I’ll have 1–2 other goodies each weekend—things like Rice Krispy treats, oatmeal creme pies, etc.!

-Muffins
I’d love to add muffins to the stand, but I’ll probably do them based on interest, so let me know if that’s something you’d want to see!

-HANDMADE ITEMS!
And this is the part I’m really excited about… I’d love to start putting some of my Sweet Batch handmade goodies out on the stand, too! So you may find a few sewn goodies mixed in with the baked ones. ❤️

- Stand Hours
I’ll be open 8 AM–6 PM.

- Which Days?
I’ll be open either Friday & Saturday OR Saturday & Sunday. Closer to opening, I’ll put up a poll so YOU guys can help me decide which days work best!

-If I have an event that weekend, I will only be open on Sunday.

I’m really excited to get the porch stand back open, but I’m also trying to make it manageable, enjoyable, and sustainable for me this year. ❤️

So tell me…are you going to stop by and see me cause I would absolutely LOVE to sell out every weekend!

🎄 Something really special is coming from Sweet Batch… 🎄

What started as a simple idea has turned into something SO much bigger than I ever expected, and I am incredibly excited to share Capture Christmas Cheer with you all.

I wanted to find a way to make Christmas pictures accessible to families who may not have the extra money to spend on professional photography during the holidays. But the more we talked about it, the more we realized we could use it as an opportunity to help local families, too.

So we’re putting together a community Christmas fundraiser where families will be able to get Christmas pictures for a minimum $10 donation, with the money raised going toward providing Christmas gifts for local single-parent families who are experiencing financial hardship.

And this has already grown into a true community effort.

We have people offering photography help, equipment, a beautiful space for the event, props, local vendors, and so many other ways to help make this happen.

Now we’re looking for local businesses and community members who would like to become sponsors.

There are several ways to help:

🎁 Sponsor a Family — contribute toward Christmas gifts for one of our selected families.

🍽️ Sponsor a Family Dinner — help provide a Christmas dinner for one of the families selected.

❤️ Donate to the Christmas Fund — any amount helps us provide Christmas assistance to as many eligible families as possible.

The goal is simple: take a little bit of the financial pressure off of single parents and give their families the chance to experience some Christmas magic.

This isn’t something I want to do alone. I want to see what happens when our community comes together and says, “We’ve got you.”

Does the fact that the stand is on my front porch deter you from stopping by?

You guys, I cannot WAIT to get the porch stand back open! 😍

I’ve got some ideas I’d love to do with it, so now I just have to sweet talk my husband between now and when this heat decides to quit trying to kill us. 😂
