We were a little concerned when we saw the massive footprints outside, but turns out he’s just a big fan of great food… and apparently buttersyrup. Said the meal was “so good I almost came out of hiding.” High praise from a guy who’s been ghosting humanity since forever.

We tried to get a photo with him, but as usual… a little blurry. Classic.

Appreciate you making the trek through the woods and dodging trail cams to dine with us, big guy. Next time, dessert’s on us—just maybe don’t leave size 37 footprints in the parking lot again.

One of the best breakfasts you'll find in North Carolina is served at Baker’s Kitchen Restaurant & Bakery in New Bern. You dig into made-from-scratch favorites like fluffy French toast with their well-known butter syrup, golden waffles, biscuits and gravy, grilled cinnamon rolls, and big breakfast platters like the Hungry Farmer with eggs, meats, and sides. The bakery counter adds even more, with fresh cinnamon rolls and baked goods you can enjoy later. Lunch dishes like hamburger steak with onions, mushrooms, and brown gravy are also popular. Portions are large, prices are fair, and the food is filling. The dining room is busy and lively, and the staff is friendly, patient, and quick to help with swaps or extra sides!
