Our Featured Plant of the Month is the Arkansas Bluestar, also known as Amsonia hubrichtii.

Known for its soft, airy foliage and delicate blue spring flowers, Arkansas Bluestar brings texture and seasonal interest to the landscape. As fall arrives, its foliage transforms into a striking golden yellow, adding a beautiful burst of color to the autumn landscape.

With its multi-season appeal and low-maintenance nature, Arkansas Bluestar is a great choice for adding lasting interest to the landscape.

From Nashville to LA! It was three great days of learning, connecting, and being inspired by the landscape architecture community at .

The American Society of Landscape Architects conference in Los Angeles was a great opportunity to explore new ideas, continue professional education, and connect with leading landscape architects and students from across the country.

We believe great design comes from staying curious and continuing to learn, and we’re looking forward to bringing new ideas and perspectives back to our work.

This month, we're spotlighting One80 Place, a Charleston nonprofit working to end and prevent homelessness by helping individuals and families find housing, stability, and a path forward.

One-Eighty Place provides more than shelter, offering services that help people move toward permanent housing and long-term stability. Their belief is simple: everyone deserves a home.

Whether you choose to donate, volunteer, or simply learn more about their work, every little bit can help make a difference.

What if you could walk through a landscape before it exists?

That’s one of the advantages of 3D rendering.

Before construction begins, clients can see how the pool, patio, planting, grading, and other elements come together as one complete space.

It takes some of the guesswork out of imagining what a design will look like once it’s built—and gives everyone a clearer picture of where the project is headed.

We think that’s pretty helpful.

Turns out Landscape Architects are very popular with the animal community.

We have been greeted, inspected, thoroughly approved by some incredible pets this year. Safe to say the feeling is mutual! 🐶 One of the best parts of the job, to say the least- we are huge animal lovers at The Addison Group!

Designing landscapes for the Lowcountry requires more than great ideas—it requires local knowledge.

As a licensed Landscape Architecture firm in South Carolina, we design with Charleston's unique environment in mind, including:
🌿 Salt spray
🌿 Sandy soils
🌿 Coastal drainage
🌿 Plants that thrive in the Lowcountry

Every landscape is designed to be both beautiful and built to last.

Hardscape of the Month: Corten Steel Raised Garden Beds

A hardscape feature that gets better with age.

Corten steel raised beds develop a rich, rust-colored patina that protects the steel while adding warmth and architectural structure to the landscape.

Durable, low-maintenance, and built to weather beautifully.

It’s National Fall Foliage Week—and we’re celebrating one of nature’s best design moments.

Thoughtful plant selections bring rich color, texture, and seasonal interest to the landscape long after summer fades.

From vibrant foliage to ornamental grasses, fall is a beautiful reminder that great landscapes shine in every season.
