🇺🇸✨ Happy Labor Day! And apparently I’ve been doing a little extra labor behind the scenes… 😂🤎

For the past several weeks, I’ve been keeping a pretty delicious secret from you guys.

I’ve been testing batch after batch, tweaking the dough, fillings, baking times, and everything in between because I had one goal:

I wanted to make the PERFECT Sourdough Kolache. 🤎

And you guys… I think I did it. 😍

They start with my heavenly sourdough dough—incredibly soft, fluffy, tender, and baked until lightly golden.

And the FILLING. 🤤 One of my biggest pet peeves is biting into a kolache and getting mostly bread with barely any filling. Absolutely not happening here. 😂

These are generously filled so every bite has the perfect combination of fluffy sourdough and ultra-flavorful filling, and then every single one gets topped with buttery, crumbly streusel. 🤎

And did I mention?!

They can stay at room temperature for up to FOUR DAYS and still be incredibly soft and fluffy! 🤯🙌

September 4th pickup day is coming, and judging by the amount of butter currently taking over my kitchen, **Sarah Epps Cakery is officially in BAKE MODE.** 😂🤎

When I say everything is made from scratch, I mean it—and apparently that means buying butter by what feels like the truckload. 🧈🧈🧈

Today’s kitchen experiment: **SOURDOUGH PIZZA CRUST DRY MIX!** 🍕✨

I’ve been testing and tweaking recipes because I want to create a pizza crust mix that makes homemade sourdough pizza night **easy**—without sacrificing that delicious homemade flavor.

The goal? A crust that’s **crispy and golden on the outside, soft and chewy on the inside**, with that little extra something you get from sourdough. 🤌

Just add a few simple wet ingredients to the dry mix, let the dough do its thing, and you’ll have fresh homemade sourdough pizza crust ready for all your favorite toppings. 🍕❤️

And, of course, I have to thoroughly test every batch first…
