BOOK REVIEW + Recipe Connection
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I absolutely loved THIS BOOK MADE ME THINK OF YOU by Libby Page. The story follows Tilly Nightingale as she navigates the first year after losing her beloved husband, Joe. Before his death, Joe leaves her one final gift—a book for each month of the year—to comfort, encourage, and gently guide her through her grief.
I especially loved the chapter featuring Souffléd Macaroni Cheese, Joe’s ultimate childhood comfort food. Along with the cookbook, he leaves Tilly the recipe, and as she prepares it, she reflects on the love and memories they shared. It was such a tender, heartfelt moment.
That scene immediately took me back to one of the very first recipes I made for my husband—my homemade macaroni and cheese. It’s nothing fancy, just a simple family recipe that has been passed down to my children and now to my grandchildren. There is something incredibly special about watching them make it and knowing that a simple comfort food has become part of our family’s story.
This beautiful novel is a reminder that books, recipes, and the smallest traditions can keep the people we love close to our hearts long after they’re gone.
