Did you know?! 🎳🍻

Long before Braise called 1101 S. 2nd Street home, the building was known as the Marble Arcade! A neighborhood tavern and bowling alley that became a Walker’s Point favorite.

The bowling alley opened in the 1940s and was especially popular with local workers, including employees from nearby Allen-Bradley. The Marble Arcade remained a neighborhood gathering place for decades before closing in the late 1990s.

Today, pieces of that history are still part of Braise! Wood from the original bowling lanes was refurbished and turned into tables throughout the restaurant.

So next time you’re at Braise, just take a look around! You’re dining in a little piece of Milwaukee history. 🤍🎳
