The first week of summer is always super challenging for me-I’m excited the kids are home and stressed at the same time with how I’m going to balance everything. It’s a constant battle between getting my actual work done and being present for my kids (which is the whole reason I started this business in the first place). Thank goodness THIS first week of summer leads with a class prep week for my spyglass class next week! Class prep work is less mentally demanding than a custom order, but still there in the back-round for me to sneak in during early mornings, sandwiched between activities and camp or kept for late nights.
I blinked and suddenly we have an 8th grader and new middle schooler. I’m SO thankful for this “little cookie biz” that allows me to soak up their kid-ness while it’s still here. I’m grateful to be able to create summer memories with them, while running a business that brings me so much joy and allows me to connect with my community. From every “like”, share, class attendee, cookie order and thoughtful word of mouth…THANK YOU all for making it possible!
I hope each of you gets a chance to create your own summer memories this year and you allow yourself to be present when you can.
