The road construction has been rough out at The Bend! Go show Chatty Bubbles (and Bakehouse) some love in East Moline!

A quick update from Chatty Bubbles

You've probably noticed the road construction out front — it's been rough on us and as a brand-new little shop we just can't staff full days right now.

So for the time being, we'll be open **10:30 AM – 2:30 PM every day**. Same yummy drinks, same drive-thru, just shorter hours until the roads (and business!) pick back up.

We also will sell chicken salad + chips and BLT + chips for $9.99** through the drive-thru Tuesday–Sunday!

If you've been meaning to stop by, we'd love to see you and shares mean the world to us right now!

Thank you for supporting local!

Your sweet tooth is sending you one last reminder about Oct 3, 9-12:30: ONLY this day and time @ 133 1st Ave W Milan, IL. This is your little hint to try out what you want to order for the upcoming holidays...

The official menu for individual sale:
Cinnamon rolls
Salted caramel cookie bars
S'mores brownies
White chocolate pumpkin cheesecake
Peanut butter pie cookies
Gooey butter cake flavors: regular vanilla, cinnamon roll, cookie dough, banana graham, cookie butter, salted caramel espresso, and cookies & cream

A few housekeeping reminders - please do not stop in before 9am, there will be people picking up their cake orders and I need some good prep time in the morning! Also, there is parking behind the building if the front lot is full. Lastly, I didn't bake 200 servings of each dessert so please don't be too bummed if you have to choose something else other than what you came for! I know you all will be super patient with me, so thanks again!!

What do all these flavors have in common?
Salted caramel espresso, cookie dough, cookie butter, cinnamon roll, banana graham, and cookies & cream?

They aren't just cake flavors, they are GOOEY BUTTER CAKE flavors! Gooey cake old fans and new fans, you will need to do everything you can to get over to our bakery this Saturday, October 3. You have never had a dessert like these before, trust me. Not cake, not a cheesecake, not a cookie, it's its own thing!

>>>9am-12:30pm!!

I overheard someone say during a walk-in sales day at our bakery something similar to “I can feel there’s really good energy in here!”

Damn right there is!! We work our tushies off but we make it look easy with the best crew.
How perfect is this photo with our Locals Love Us sign?! Voted 2nd place for Wedding Desserts and Pastries means that you all taste and see the quality, and that’s huge for us. Our budgets feel tighter and tighter every month. I feel it too, I am a homeowner, a mother, a pet mom, etc etc. But our clients keep showing up and supporting us and we don’t ever take that lightly. It’s a huge responsibility I place on myself to make sure you are satisfied with how you spend your money. Always was and always will be extremely important to me. Thank you all of your love over the years!!

In other exciting news, we are selling grab-and-go items locally to Bally’s Casino!! You can find our cookie bars, brownies, gooey butter cake, and cake pops in the front lobby! 🔥
Our growth is thanks to these companies believing in the small businesses in our community!!

If you are not getting your fall frolicking in full speed yet, what are you even doing?! Brews Energy now has our PUMPKIN SPICE GOOEY BUTTER CAKE slices! That seasonal coffee tastes really damn delicious with a slice of this bad boy. You can order a full pan anytime, but grab a slice to sample in their drive-thru ASAP!

(But why is it so difficult to photograph?!?) 🫠

We hosted not one, but TWO workshops in the bakery in the past week and there was lots of fun had by all. Are you part of an organization that would want to meet here and decorate some cakes?! I will have all the cakes and supplies ready and the cakes go home to enjoy later. Reach out in messenger to inquire!
