A little tart. A little sweet. A whole lot of memories.
When I look at a blueberry pie, I don’t just see dessert.
I remember warm summer days walking through the forest with my grandmother, carefully picking wild blueberries ourselves. We would spend hours searching for the best patches, filling our buckets one handful at a time. Our fingers would turn purple from the juice, our baskets would slowly fill, and by evening, the kitchen would smell like a freshly baked blueberry pie.
Back then, everything was simple.
A homemade crust.
We gathered wild blueberries ourselves in the forest.
A warm oven.
And a grandmother who could turn the simplest ingredients into something unforgettable.
Today, these blueberry tartlets are my way of bringing those memories into the present. A buttery crisp shell, rich blueberry filling, and fresh blueberries on top — a little more elegant than the pies of my childhood, but inspired by the same flavors and the same love.
✨ Here’s the secret: the desserts people remember most are rarely the most complicated ones. They’re the ones connected to a story, a person, and a moment in time.
One bite can take you back years.
To the forest paths.
To buckets full of wild blueberries. Because sometimes the sweetest ingredient isn’t sugar at all —
It’s a memory. # BloomingBakes.2025
