🇺🇸 Leadership Is Earned, Not Appointed 🇺🇸

Throughout my career, I had the privilege of supervising deputies, investigators, supervisors, and command staff as they developed into leaders within the Hanover County Sheriff’s Office.

Many people may not realize that my opponent and I worked together professionally, and at one point I served as his direct supervisor in the Administrative Division.

These facts are not offered as criticism. They are simply part of our professional history and are important for voters to know as they compare our qualifications to serve as the next Sheriff of Hanover County.

I earned every promotion—from Deputy to Sergeant, Lieutenant, Captain, and Major. Each promotion brought greater responsibility, broader leadership, and valuable experience serving the citizens of Hanover County.

Along the way, I mentored future leaders, managed major divisions, made difficult decisions, and accepted responsibility for the people and operations under my command.

Leadership isn’t measured by a title alone. It’s measured by the experience, responsibility, and trust earned throughout a career.

After more than 44 years of service to Hanover County, I have the experience, leadership, and proven record to lead our Sheriff’s Office from Day One.
