A time-saver when you need to create cake layers.
Bake a thicker layer of cake and cut it into 2 or more layers to save baking time.
Let me know if this tip works for you.
Sometimes, you may have to shimmy your cake spatula or the back of a knife to begin the separation process.
I place parchment paper or a butter wrapper between the layers so that they're easier to separate once they've been frozen. And yes, I freeze my cake before I decorate them.
