50% non-refundable deposit required on orders over 50. For cake orders please give us AT LEAST one week lead time to properly plan for and design your cake. 50% non-refundable deposit is due to confirm all cake orders and remaining balance will be due no later than one week (7 days) before scheduled cake due date. Clients assume responsibility for paying the remaining balance when placing an order. Any orders remaining unpaid as of 6 pm 7 days before the cakes scheduled due date will be canceled and deposit will be forfeit- unless other arrangements have been made AND agreed to. 🍋Lemon Birthday Cake 🍋

I got a chance to remake one of everyone's favorite cakes from last year, with a twist! 😉

The original cake was an orange cake for "A Little 'Cutie' is on the Way" theme baby shower last spring. It was one of everyone's favorite themes of 2025 and it's been up on my website ever since.

I was really excited when I was asked to do a lemon version for a birthday a few weeks ago. I hadn't looked closely at the pictures in nearly a year, so when I went to reference the photos for this order- let's just say a year can make a huge difference when improving a skill! 😂 (The original orange cake is the last photo.)

Cake is lemon vanilla bean butter cake with lemon frosting.
Hand-piped and painted lemons.

🌿🪴Jungle Theme Dessert Table🪴🌿

This was by far the most fun I've had with a theme all year!

The annual Cancer Survivors Banquet at Marshall Assembly of God is about celebrating our loved ones fighting cancer in every stage of their journeys. Every year they choose a fun, new theme and "Jungle of Hope" was the theme for this year.

This year, the banquet hits a bit different because our family has its own cancer survivor and I couldn't be more proud of her. The whole family pitched in on this donation- I was so happy to have the help!

•2 tier Jungle Cake- Piña Colada sponge, piña colada buttercream, mango pineapple filling

•Hibiscus & Wild Orchid Cupcakes -vanilla bean sponge with vanilla buttercream

•Cake Pop Cones- mini waffle cones with chocolate interior, filled with vanilla buttercream, chocolate cake pop, dipped in white chocolate

•Monstera Leaf Sugar Cookies- classic Bakehouse sugar cookies with vanilla royal icing

•Vine Cookie Sandwiches- my best selling chocolate chip cookies filled and decorated with buttercream

•Gluten-Friendly Brownie Bites- (Mama's recipe) decorated with American buttercream

•Tropical Fruit Cups- pineapple, strawberry, mango, kiwi, dragonfruit, lime zest, dressed with lime juice and mint chiffonade

(note- we did the fruit cups as a low sugar option because it was a donation. Cottage bakeries CANNOT LEGALLY SELL you anything with CUT FRUIT- these will not be available for sale at any point )

✨💍 Wedding Season is Coming! 💍✨

Fall is fast approaching here in Arkansas and that means wedding bells will be ringing as the leaves start to turn. My fall calendar is already starting to fill up and I'm so excited about wedding season! 🍁🍂

Each wedding cake is so unique and special, which is why they are my favorite thing to create. I give all of my wedding cakes extra love and attention to detail, which is why I require extra lead time.

For an intricate fully custom wedding cake, I generally need 1 month notice. On shorter notice, I may be able to make a cake, but I can't guarantee that I can pull off an intricate design and I can't guarantee availability on your date. So please book as early as you can to secure your booking.

📣Local Business Shout-out! 📣

On Wednesday my oven went out and I have a big couple weeks ahead of me including a large donation event that I can't miss. So I messaged Skip A***s from Redeemed Service Co. He's always given us great service before, he's fixed our appliances several times and always gives us a fair price. I was hoping he could fit me in before next week. Skip showed up later that afternoon, had the part ordered that afternoon and had me in his schedule to fix the oven the day the part came in- all before he left my house on Wednesday afternoon. He came by today (Friday) right on schedule and replaced the part within 5 minutes. The appliances I use are a huge part of my home business- Redeemed Service Co is a company I can rely on to help get my appliances back up and running so my business can keep running smoothly. And because my business is in my home, as a woman, I'm cautious about who I let into my home. Skip is kind, professional and respectful of us and our home every time we hire him. 🌼🌸🌿 Garden Party Sets 🌿🌸🌼

I had the most amazing opportunity to create these sets for a Searcy County Arkansas Chamber Of Commerce mixer last week.

I have personally baked for events and gatherings I've attended among family and friends, but this actually was the first event The Bakehouse has been hired to bake for that I personally attended. To see a client and other attendees enjoying my bakes was such a rare treat for me! 😊

🫧🐟 Baby's O-FISH-ally on the Way! 🫧🐠

I had the privilege of making this cake for a baby shower a few weeks back 😊

I generally work with buttercream using fondant only for accents and decor, so the sheer amount of fondant work on this cake was more than I'm used to. But in the end I was happy with how it turned out, especially my little fish! 🐟

The Cakes:
All chocolate fudge cake, vanilla American buttercream, vanilla fondant

Tackle box- 4 layers 8x10, hand carved
Duck boots- 3 cupcakes each, hand carved, sculpted with buttercream
Baby Bass- mini loaf pan cake, torted & filled, hand carved
