Happy Sunday, OwlPound!

I know, I know - where the heck have I been?!

Simply put: Life has taken place.

For those who may not know, I lost my passion for baking after losing my brother January 2025 & I have been navigating a new life without having him here.

School & life also did a number on me - but I'm strong, TOP DAWG 😅. But it was rough.

Slowly I may get back to baking solely around the holidays (or pop ups when I have free time).

I did breakthrough my 'funk' last year & baked a cake that my brother requested two weeks before he transitioned to the spiritual realm.

So I'll share it here: Lemon Blueberry Pound.

So here's to rebranding & outside of loving myself, loving the art of baking with love (and from scratch 💋).

New to The OwlPound Cakery Menu: Owlettes 🤗

Today was a trial run, figuring out what works - what doesn't work.

Baking is all about being transparent.

The bundt pans were passed down from my mom to me earlier this year. She used to make the prettiest mini bundts that were so moist & beautiful when I was younger.

My aunt has been pushing me to make use of the pans and I finally did this morning on a study break.

Gotta few more kinks to work out, but I'll be offering them starting Christmas. They will either come glazed or just a dollop of icing on top. *whispers* I tried icing them and HONEY NO! A MESS lol 😅

Back to studying, 3 more tests and I'm done with my first semester of my doctoral program 😊
