I just want to give a HUGE shout out to some Amazing small businesses who helped me make my mom's surprise 70th birthday a huge success. First one goes to the super talented Arlene from Polkadot Cake Shop we've worked together for years and I couldn't wait to have her create the most beautiful cake ever ❤️. I sent her my ideas and she created a delicious masterpiece!
Second one goes to the lovely and talented Cathy Once Upon A Board who created a gorgeous, fun fact filled birthday board just for my mom ❤️ She can't wait to hang it up in her house as a reminder of her special day!
And of course, we can't thank Lina from Linas Restaurant for hosting our event. The food and the service where above and beyond!! ❤️

Getting married is a big deal. It's the culmination of your life with someone else, and it deserves to be celebrated. Before you can get to that part, there are invitations to think about! While it may seem daunting at first, I'm here to help guide you through the process.⁠

So back to the wording... it really depends on your unique situation.⁠
⁠
Traditionally speaking, the bride's parents were responsible for hosting the wedding. This meant that their names would be listed on the host line and this was an acknowledgement of their generosity. But times have changed and now more couples are either paying for it themselves or receiving some financial contributions from both sets of parents—in this case, you can list all parents’ names or opt for something simpler like, “Together with their parents” or “Together with their families.”⁠

50 days until graduation? Let's celebrate! On Friday, MSDA seniors (and soon to be alumnae) gathered for a sweet treat hosted by the alumnae office. Polkadot Cake Shop visited campus in their vintage pink camper and treated the seniors to cupcakes, cookies and donuts (the fan favorite!).

Back in February, I had the opportunity to work on a wedding editorial featuring the Pantone Color of the Year: Classic Blue! I was invited to capture this inspiration shoot by Sugar Rose Events and Be Inspired Public Relations and, of course, I couldn’t pass it up. I’ve been keeping the images under wraps awaiting publication and it was featured on Destination I Do Magazine on Monday so I’m excited to finally be able to share the images with you!

This shoot took place in a NYC loft and rooftop and brought together an incredible team of vendors. From a stunning invitation suite by Lace and Belle to a jaw-dropping floral installation by Faye & Renée Floral & Event Design and a unique cake by Polkadot Cake Shop, every detail was perfect. In the midst of these unprecedented times, it’s easy to get discouraged and bogged down in negativity. Instead, lets focus on the enormous outpouring of love, kindness and generosity that is all around us. Since we’re in the business of granting wishes, we thought it would be fun to reward some friends in the wedding industry who are truly going the extra mile right now.

We developed the 2020 Corona Virus Campaign to grant awards to vendors who are using their time, talents and resources to help those directly affected by this pandemic. Per usual, we were blown away by all of the good folks out there.
