We sold out by 10 AM today! Thank you, Lucedale! 😊 I baked more than I ever have for this market, and y’all still showed up and sold us out early.

This week also brought the most advance orders I’ve ever had, and in the middle of the morning rush, I realized I wasn’t as organized as I needed to be to manage both preorders and regular market sales well. I made a mistake with one reserved loaf, and I’m truly sorry for that.

As much as I’ve loved setting loaves aside for people, I’ve realized that with how quickly we’re selling out, first come, first served is going to work best going forward. It’ll help me keep things simple, stay organized, and serve everyone fairly.
I’m learning as this microbakery grows, and I’m so thankful for your patience and support. I’ll definitely be baking more for next week! ❤️

Happy bake day! ☀️

Today we’re baking around 75 loaves, more than ever before for this market, because of you.

Last year, many Saturdays ended with empty tables and us having to tell sweet customers we were sold out. So this season, we’re working hard to bake more, serve more, and make sure more families can bring fresh bread home!

There’s something special about knowing a loaf will end up on your kitchen counter, beside supper, or shared with neighbors.

We’re truly honored to bake for this community. Thank you for showing up, supporting local, and making Southern Bread Company part of your weekend table.

🔥Two NEW summer flavors are making their debut at Saturday’s Farmers Market !

🌻 Seeded Sourdough Loaf - packed with pumpkin seeds, sunflower seeds, flax, and sesame — baked for flavor, texture, and that protein-rich bite that keeps you coming back for another slice.

🍑 Peach Sourdough Focaccia - soft, golden focaccia topped with sweet summer peaches.
Optional hot honey on the side if you want that perfect sweet-heat drizzle!

These are seasonal loaves, which means they won’t be available year-round, and we only baked a limited amount for this weekend.

If you want to try them, we recommend coming early! We can’t wait to see you Saturday and hear what you think!

There’s something so special about a farmers market. For me, it’s more than just a place to sell bread. It’s where Southern Bread Company began. My earliest customers found me here. Some of the sweetest conversations, encouragement, and friendships came from Saturday mornings under tents with neighbors who chose to shop local. 🥹

This Saturday from 7 AM until sellout, we’ll be back at the summer market, and I’d love to see our community show up! Not just for my bread, but for all the growers, makers, and small businesses who pour so much into bringing good things here each week.

When you come to the market, you’re doing more than shopping. You’re helping local families keep going. You’re keeping something good alive in our town.❤️

No pastry experience needed! I walk you through a simple method step-by-step so you can actually understand the process and repeat it at home. This class is perfect for anyone who wants a new hobby or enjoys from-scratch baking!

🚨Registration closes May 25th so I can prepare materials. This is the last Croissant class I’m teaching this year; don’t miss it!

Dough day = the start of your Saturday bread!🍞

We’re up bright and early mixing all of our sourdough for the farmers market—then it slowly ferments and cold proofs for 2 days before baking fresh for Saturday.

That long fermentation isn’t just for flavor. It can help break down some of the gluten and starches, which many people find makes sourdough easier to digest.

If you want your favorite loaf set aside, preorder by 9 AM today; after that, it’s first come Saturday morning!

Every loaf is baked fresh the day before the market—never frozen, never baked days ahead. Just real bread made with care.
