One thing I love most is making homemade snacks for my kids. Once I started really reading ingredient labels, I realized I didn’t want them eating all that junk all the time. That’s actually what started my sourdough journey in the first place.

Last night I made homemade sourdough Cheez-It style crackers, and they might be our new favorite snack! Just 5 simple ingredients, and they taste amazing — super close to the store-bought version, but without all the extra additives.

Safe to say they’re the new obsession at our house this week! 😋🧀

People make it sound so scary to bake sourdough. Let me tell yall, it’s easy. I mixed up some dough yesterday and spilt a good bit of it while mixing because I tipped my bowl over.🙃😂 Anyways, I said whatever it’s just for mixing up something new so let’s make it work. Next, I accidentally left it on the counter to bulk ferment like way longer than I needed to. It’s still fine, I can make focaccia. I decided to do this strawberry cream cheese focaccia bread and let me tell you I’m so glad I did. I did like everything wrong and somehow still ended with something delicious. Now you can clearly see it is not pretty or aesthetically pleasing by no means, but it made me and my boys pretty happy tonight. 😂❤️
