Fermented Sourdough Bread locally made in Lodi, CA

▶️First video
I caught this starter just as it was maxing out on its dome. The time lapse shows it’s decent. If you watch closely you can see the tiny bubble explosion like itty bitty fireworks going off and then the center starts to implode. This is when your starter is ready to be used.
▶️Second video time lapse is my other starter at a later stage.
I fed them both at 9pm and were at this stage at 5am.
For me, starter time lapses next get old.

Introducing our newest grandbaby. She’s so precious and a gift from the Lord!
Here is her sister meeting her for the first time. I’ve watched this portion of this clip 30+ times and I think I’ve cried at least half of them. The realization, the connection. Such sweetness.🥹

It’s customary to have blueberries and lemon zest with cottage cheese when you are making blueberry lemon rustics loaves. Okay, okay, I just made that up, but you won’t regret it. Better yet toast some bread and slather it on with a drizzle of honey.
Who’s hungry now?😉

This is 50! It’s the new 30 I’m sure of it!

Every year I make a post on my birthday and announce my age. I love getting older because that means I’m alive.
By the mercies of the Lord I have been allowed to live, love, learn and be loved.
I have ups and downs but will cherish the moments to experience joy and sorrow, happiness and sadness.

Learning the power of food, the science of the body in relation to food, and the ability to know how to use it was pivotal. It’s astounding the nutrients, vitamins, minerals and purpose of real food.
With the Lord’s guidance he brought her to a safe place with the food He created for our good and now His glory.
I am forever grateful for the community that we have and how God uses them in our lives.

Without His foundation we are nothing. With His love for us and Jesus’ sacrifice we have every reason to stay together.

All I really wanted was the cinnamon raisin sourdough but carbs should always be anchored with a protein. It’s what stabilizes the blood sugar. Sourdough isn’t low carb. It is a healthy carb. Fermented sourdough is full nutrients you can’t get from a yeasted bread. It metabolizes slower to prevent a blood sugar spike. Anchoring your sourdough with a protein also aids in a stable blood sugar level.
Many diabetics and gluten intolerant people can eat fermented sourdough and feel good as it digests. Fermented sourdough doesn’t sit heavy in the belly. It’s hearty and filling yet isn’t heavy.
All I wanted was the bread but my body needed the rest of this plate too.😊

Pack an order with me! This customer was ready for their visitors. Breakfast? Sourdough bagels and granola. Lunch? Sourdough sandwich bread. Dinner? Bring out the dinner rolls!
