Today, I received a phone call from a disgruntled client. It wasn't the first and, it won't be the last.

The client accused two of my trusted experts (along with eventually myself, after I didn't corroborate her claims) of lying to her, misleading her and, manipulating her order. The allegations and accusations were all unfounded and fabricated.

I did my level best to approach the unfounded complaint(s) with patience, understanding and reason.

It quickly became obvious that this method was yielding me nothing.

What ensued were threats of ruining my business, claims that I am an awful, deceptive business owner and, that no ome will ever work with us again.

My sister and I have owned this business for 20 incredible years. We operate with a clear values system reflecting a myriad of traits we, and our experts, take pride and care in.

We have made mistakes. Who on earth hasn't. When we do, we take accountability and measures to ensure recompense. When we don't make mistakes, we won't concede because the customer isn't always right.

We are the industry experts and we work consistently and conscientiously to curate the best, most honest and trustworthy relationships we possibly can with the people who entrust us in creating their edible art.

What disheartened me most about this was the client speaking so poorly about my staff, who are all incredible in too many ways to explain. The audacity and disrespect one must possess to speak untruth about people who have built our business into what it is absolutely guts me.

As the relentless threats to destroy our legacy and future were hurled at me, I didn't flinch.

I stood my ground in the facts and in faith.

Every amazing person who has worked here and, most every awesome person who has patronized us have made us eho we are today and, who we will continue to be.

To my beautiful staff and, to our beautiful clients...you are the icing on our cake!
