Word is that Friday June 5 is national donut day. It looks like there will be donuts at for this very special celebration. Cinnamon sugar, cardamom espresso, chai chocolate rose (with ), wild blueberry lemon, vanilla tangerine, and powdered sugar. Of course I made donuts for you to enjoy with the best coffee drinks in town!

It’s a embellished Harry Potter potion (what I call chemo) headwrap! Sweater made by yours truly, doggie scarf a gift from one of the daisy donuts teen dishwashers. The pin has a tiger in a cage and the wheels spin. My life is definitely something of a circus these days.

PS I got some of these scarves years ago during Wiley sales conferences when a friend and I would use our afternoon off to engage in a Jo-Ann Wasserman (former colleague who died) memorial shopping expedition. The rule was that we could only buy things we would never otherwise purchase and they had to be fabulous, just like Jo-Ann. Turns out that these are now vintage scarves and resell on ebay etc for rather a lot of $. Not selling mine! So the scarf and the pin are both fabulous and vintage. Linda made fantastically whimsical jewelry and I wish I had more pieces.

My feed is a crazy mix of cancer advertisements from big pharma to tiny psychotherapists. Oddly, I get zero groovy headwrap advertising. Maybe that is because no one can do pretty uplifting headwraps like daisy donuts. Special shout out to . I am working through my stash of your lovely wild rags. I may have to get some more. And daisy donuts may need to do a headwrap brand extension, or at least become a headwrap influencer.

The faces of cancer and getting by with a little help from my friends. What I see in the mirror in the morning and how I show up in the world are a little different. What remains a constant force in my world is the thoughtfulness of friends. makes the most beautiful stone cabinet k***s, drawer pulls, wall hooks. She hunts the rocks down, she polishes them, and she crafts them into the most beautifully perfect useful household items. She also helps me bake, and every week she brings me some healing nature. Thank you Kristen!
