After a lot of thoughts and prayers, I have come to the decision to retire from baking. I am finishing the orders that are already scheduled and I appreciate and love all of the wonderful people that I’ve been blessed to meet and know because of my cakes. I’m tired. I’ve been baking cakes since 1993. Most people do not understand the hours and care that go into each cake. And as I’ve gotten older, I can’t move as fast as I used to and it’s harder on my body. I will still do a cake or two every now and again for specific purposes, but no longer taking orders and carrying such a heavy load. I hope that you all understand. This is a passion that I’m letting go of, I will miss it and it’s hard.

It was an honor to do these cakes for my wonderful bonus son, Kirk and my new daughter, Teigan. It was especially fun because of all the help I had! Thank you Myrth, Melanie, Brittany, Julia and Mark. I am grateful for each of your hard work and artistic skill. I just love our family!
