It’s been about a year since I’ve promoted my home-based bakery. I’ve been busy finishing college, looking for/settling into my new job, & getting to know a new town.

I had an order this weekend for baby shower cupcakes & bubblegum cupcakes.
The baby shower theme was bows & I couldn’t find bows anywhere in South Arkansas for the cupcakes.
Since I was given full range to decorate them how I wanted I ended up piping buttercream bows & adding pearl accents.
I thought they turned out pretty cute!

The bubblegum cupcakes are always fun to make & these got a bright Valentine’s Day feel instead of the pastels I normally do.

I haven’t promoted my business or baked anything since January because I went back to school to finish the last 10 hours of my Bachelor of Science in Community Nutrition, but I made a few exceptions this weekend!

I loved how this 30 cake turned out!
Instead of cutting out the numbers from a sheet cake …I filled cardboard numbers with cupcakes, M&Ms & bubblegum & sprayed it all with iridescent glitter spray …a Cupcake Charcuterie!

I may start doing all of the number & letter cakes this way because they are so much easier to transfer & I don’t have to worry about them splitting.

I also had an order for individual birthday cupcakes. I decided on triple chocolate for all three, made them a little larger & added candles that represented the age of each person.
This order also had a dozen cupcakes which were vanilla with vanilla buttercream & birthday sprinkles (which I didn’t get a photo of).

I will not be taking any more orders until after I graduate in May.
