A Declaration of Togetherness
At Gathered Hill, we honor the flavors and stories of our ancestors,
the blackberry jam simmered slow,
the hot cornbread lifted from the cast iron,
the caramel icing poured steady and sweet, just like Memaw made.
We cherish the mountain flavors that raised us,
the tastes carried through generations,
the ones that shaped our families, our memories,
and our understanding of home.
We believe something holy happens when people gather,
when we slow down long enough to be present with one another.
That’s when we remember what it means to belong.
This is a place where community is born,
where hearts are restored,
and where two or three gathered become family.
There is grace in the air
and kindness in the cup.
We believe being together is a gift.
So we make space
for stories,
for healing,
for hope,
for the flavors of Appalachia that shaped us,
held in every bite, shared with love.
Gathered Hill stands for slowing down in a world that rushes.
It’s the story of community restored,
of hearts gathered again and again.
Because in the end,
life is richer when it’s shared,
and every bite tastes a little more like home when we gather.
