It’s the (bath) bomb turning 9! šŸŽ‰šŸ«§

How fun is this set for a very special birthday celebration at ?

I’ve been making cookies for Emma’s birthday for years now, so we weren’t about to let a little thing like her family moving stop us. These made their way down with grandparents, and I am just so grateful for families who keep celebrating their moments with me.

One of my favorite things about baking for Jessica is that we know each other well enough now that she can drop a theme in my lap, say ā€œgo for it,ā€ and mean it. Zero parameters. Total creative freedom.

And somehow that limitless space feels energizing instead of overwhelming…which is not always the case, let me tell you. (I love creative freedom but usually with *some* vibe parameters)

There’s not a whole lot of existing cookie art out there for bath bombs, which honestly gave me so much room to play with texture and dimension. I had a blast figuring it out.

And the little aprons, inspired by real Buff City celebrations were such a fun detail to tuck in.

Happy FriYAY, Now… are you ready to meet my first Mini Managers? šŸ‘€

Duck, duck, deuce āœŒšŸ½

Happy 2nd birthday to Cash! This set was such a fun mix of patterns and details and a fun take on a duck theme I’ve not gotten to do before!

A moment for the minis…the little cattail cookies have my heart.

Which design caught your eye?

Oh baby, let me just tell you… baby B may not have a name yet, but baby girl is already so loved and celebrated! šŸŽ€

To me, naming a kid is such an honor andddd ALSO so much pressure. šŸ˜…

You think through all the things… how it sounds with your last name, with sibling names, how it sounds when you need to use that full name for maximum impact (IYKYK).

You imagine the nicknames you’d want them to have, and the ones you’re worried they might receive. Every rhyme. Every play on words.

With our first, we had a list before we even had a gender ultrasound, and he had a name by 12 weeks. With our second…we were a little over a month out and still debating, because what if we picked something, and then when we met him, it just didn’t feel like him?

Between the time we had our first and our second, I gained a whole new perspective on how long it takes to get to know the person your child is trying to become.

They are their own little people from the very beginning so the second time around picking a name felt less like a decision and more like trying to guess what type of person he was going to be…and wanting to get it perfect. The first impossible standard we set for ourselves as parents (or maybe the first of many times we attempt to control an uncontrollable situation, hi Type A’s!)

Is this just me? Was I crazy, or just nutrient-deprived from living on sourdough for 9 months and spiraling? Very solidly maybe the latter, but either way, I felt the parents-to-be’s pain trying to settle on a name… and what a beautiful set we got to create anyway! I have no doubt baby B’s name will end up being the perfect fit too!

The nursery scenes always get me, but that pastel damask print behind those teeny baby footprints? It might’ve sent me over the edge in this set. A quiet little detail that just tied all the grand details together🄹

We had an absolutely jam-packed Sunday this past weekend, but I am SO glad I slowed down with my oldest for a little mother-son day date during little brother’s nap to make some memories at Gathered Play + Create at just up the road in VersaillesšŸ’›

If you’ve never been, Emily from has curated a step back in time in only the best ways.

I think everyone, in some form or fashion, is craving a slower childhood and a slower summer for their kids, the kind we got to experience growing up.

Less screens, more sun, more playing with friends, more arts and crafts, more getting messy and making mistakes… as the Frizz would say. 🚌

Emily has managed to create just that. I’ll share more of her beautiful play cafĆ© at some point, but first, this story time we went to was pure magic.

Everything was curated to celebrate and tie into The Magic School Bus, which is currently one of my son’s absolute favorites. Snacks were themed with treats from the books. There was a school bus craft, a giant blackboard with Ms. Frizzle’s name on it, and Ms. Frizzle herself reading stories to the kids (courtesy of )

My son has quite literally not stopped talking about it almost a week later…sharing all of the random facts he learned (and happily sharing random facts of his own he shared with Ms. Frizzle, of course šŸ˜…)

With baby brother in the picture, my big boy doesn’t get quite as much one-on-one time as he used to, so getting to take him and build these memories together meant everything. He had the time of his life, and we already can’t wait to go back.

If you’re looking for ways to celebrate the end of the school year, or a fun spot to escape the summer heat, whether it’s for story time or just to play in the beautiful spaces Emily has curated, you cannot miss. Make this your next stop and thank me later!

I’ve been dreaming of implementing this idea for a while, and it’s finally here. šŸŖ

Introducing Kentucky to the Mini Manager program: where YOUR kiddo gets to step into MY shoes for a day.

Here’s how it works:

•They apply, one mini manager is selected

•They pick the theme + help brainstorm designs, flavors, activities, marketing (that I will then execute on their behalf)

•They taste-test the merch (the most important job, obviously)

• They help ā€œrunā€ the pop-up, chatting with people in line, ringing people up, placing purchases into bags

•They take home every single cash tip from the day as a reward for their efforts

It’s part creativity, part business lesson, part pure helping a child and their interests feel seen and celebrated.

Homeschooling this year has shown me just how much hands on experience seems to stick at this age and I think it will be so fun to see your kids take ownership of a pop up and be cheered on!

I’ve wanted to find a way to bring my own kids as well as this community into what I do, and this felt like the sweetest possible way to do both!

This program is recommended for ages 6–13 but you know your kid best! If you’ve got a little one a bit younger or older who you think would be the perfect fit, don’t let the numbers stop you. Go ahead and apply. šŸ’›

Our very first Mini Manager pop-up is June 20th at and I’m looking for my first manager right now! šŸŽ‰

Strawberry lemonade and 18 years šŸ‹šŸ“

That’s it. That’s the whole caption.

This weekend/week/month of May/year has officially wiped me out friends but I loved this set too much to not share it so here we are šŸ˜…

Does May feel like it’s kicking anyone else’s tail or just me?

In an old house in Paris that was covered in vines,
Lived twelve little girls in two straight lines

And unbeknownst to those girls, so many years later
In a house in Kentucky they’d make a 4th birthday greater!

Now, we may say the names a little differently around here but tucked right between Versailles (VER-sales, as we would say) and Paris, Kentucky feels like the perfect place for a touch of France and a nod to this children’s classic!

Bonjour Tess, happy 4th birthday!

Tell me: did you grow up with Madeline too? I’d love to know if these cookies take you right back šŸ’›
