Will never get over my cookies getting to be a part of the beginnings of so many stories!

As we roll from spring into summer it just has me thinking back on the beautiful orders spring brought.

Baby showers, bridal showers and weddings, and graduations made up a good 80-90% of the orders March-May, so many different seasons of life and yet so many new chapters beginning, because change as a part of life is something we all have in common.

Thank you truly Lexington, for allowing me to help you celebrate 🫶🏽

What a fun theme for a 10th birthday cookie cake!

Just wait until you see the decorated cookies that went with it!

At Sissy Cooks It Up our cookie cakes come packed full of 3 different kinds of chocolate: dark, semi sweet, and white, then they are topped with delicious icing and 6 mini sugar cookies.

You can add additional icing colors, extra cookies, etc, but you can’t go wrong with one of these!

They’re a Sissy Cooks It Up family favorite, if I make an extra for us to keep it disappears at an alarming rate 😅

Personal pan cookie cakes will be available at the pop up on June 20th, don’t miss it!

Moo moo, Jordan is TWO! 🐮

He had the cutest birthday banner (if you’re local please drop your tag below) so all the cookie designs were inspired by it!

I love a pun and I love coordinating with your decor so everything feels like a cohesive moment! Having things neatly tied together really is the difference between generic farm cookies and Jordan’s 2nd birthday farm cookies!

Happy National Donut Day to all who celebrate! 🍩

My oldest was thrilled to realize there is a whole day dedicated to one of his favorite treats which led us down a rabbit hole of so very many National treat celebration days that I have to add to my calendar.

We celebrated with a funkfetti and plain glazed from via (and a Fluffernutter latte for myself which was a must for to fuel finishing out this very long cookie week!)

And now celebrating here with this Jelly Cat inspired cookie platter. I think cookie doughnuts count 🤔

Woo hoo, I know Lexington is SO happy to *finally* be on summer break!

This set just felt right for vacation mode activated, happy last day of school!

This is our first year since my oldest was little bitty that we have a true summer break so let me know if there’s any new must do activities in central Kentucky! Bonus if baby can tag along!

The doc is in! Slightly different doc than yesterday’s post but to her toys I’m sure Sofia is just as appreciated.

This set is such a fun reminder that you don’t have to do character cookies for the set to match your character party! By including patterns and details that were present in the invitation and you end up with one cohesive set that people can tell was made just for your party!

And the doctors bag 🥹 The glittery pink top is so very doc and I kind of wish I had my own, maybe a cookie doctor bag is in order?

So… here’s how this went… I had a hat full of names and a volunteer spot I could only give to ONE kid.

Spoiler: per usual I did not stick to my own boundaries 😅

I drew Gianni’s name. And then noticed his sister Gianna had also applied. So naturally, I did the only reasonable thing and offered it to both IF they wanted to mash up their themes and well…

Meet my very first Mini Manager volunteers 🎉

A brother-sister duo who immediately had me smiling ear to ear during our first meeting talking through everything from brainstorming crossover ideas between their themes to laying out logistics for the day.

A few things you should know about my new bosses:

🍪 Gianni’s dream cookie for the pop-up should taste like “birthday cake and love.” Already on it.

🍪 Gianna had follow-up questions before accepting the role, namely the work-to-fun ratio, whether the job is dangerous, and if there’d be hazard pay. (I respect a girl who reads the fine print.)

🍪 They asked what to do if a customer has an allergy, which turned into a real conversation about food labels and why the info on them matters. These kids are so thoughtful and I know that’s going to shine on pop up day.

🍪They even thought through logistics, they wanted to know if we’d be inside or outside, how much space there was and when we needed to set up, Gianni wishes the pop up was longer but also hopes we sell out!

🍪 They are BOTH extremely ready to work the register. I have been warned and I have a color coded plan to make that simple!

Next up is meeting #2, where they get to taste test the flavors I’m dreaming up for their themes and requested flavor profiles, all the love included!

I promised not to make them try any flops, but Gianna said and I quote “even if it’s meh, let us try it.” 🤣 So… here’s hoping I pass muster.

I just know there were some proud mamas at this graduation party celebrating 3 friends becoming doctors 💙

It’s been full blown graduation and first birthday season over here and it’s so fun helping families celebrate the big milestones on both ends of the spectrum!

Forever and always grateful that you let me be part of making your loved one’s day special and have oh so much to catch up on sharing from April and May!

It’s the (bath) bomb turning 9! 🎉🫧

How fun is this set for a very special birthday celebration at ?

I’ve been making cookies for Emma’s birthday for years now, so we weren’t about to let a little thing like her family moving stop us. These made their way down with grandparents, and I am just so grateful for families who keep celebrating their moments with me.

One of my favorite things about baking for Jessica is that we know each other well enough now that she can drop a theme in my lap, say “go for it,” and mean it. Zero parameters. Total creative freedom.

And somehow that limitless space feels energizing instead of overwhelming…which is not always the case, let me tell you. (I love creative freedom but usually with *some* vibe parameters)

There’s not a whole lot of existing cookie art out there for bath bombs, which honestly gave me so much room to play with texture and dimension. I had a blast figuring it out.

And the little aprons, inspired by real Buff City celebrations were such a fun detail to tuck in.

Duck, duck, deuce ✌🏽

Happy 2nd birthday to Cash! This set was such a fun mix of patterns and details and a fun take on a duck theme I’ve not gotten to do before!

A moment for the minis…the little cattail cookies have my heart.
