For years I baked in secret...

No customers, no brand, just me and my oven. These are the 6 rules I learned the hard way so you don't have to.

Save this for when you're ready 🍰

06/02/2026

When we were kids they told us to dream big...

Then we grew up and the message changed to get a stable job, be realistic.

So most of us did.

We got the 9-to-5, told ourselves the dream could wait. and waited. and waited.

Most people never start their business because they are waiting for society to give them permission to want something different, that permission is never coming.

I started PanPan Cafe Arcade while working a full time job because I stopped waiting for it to make sense to everyone else and it was the best decision I ever made!

✨your dream was never theirs to approve✨

If you're still waiting for permission, this is it, you have it, start.

06/01/2026

She needed to hear this and I hope it helps you too 🫶🏼✨

🌸 Boundaries
Setting boundaries isn't rude, it's a form of self-respect. You don't need permission from anyone else to decide what feels right for you. The people who truly care about you will honor your boundaries; the ones who don't may challenge them.

🎀 Be a dreamer
You are allowed to want more than what's expected of you. Your dreams don't have to fit neatly into anyone else's definition of success. Whatever you want out of life, give yourself permission to pursue it boldly and unapologetically.

✨ Trust yourself
You don't need to have every answer before taking the first step. Confidence isn't knowing you'll succeed, it's believing you'll be okay no matter the outcome. Learn to trust your own judgment.

💌 Stop waiting
Many opportunities are missed because we're waiting for confidence to arrive first. The truth is that confidence is built through action. Start before you feel ready and let experience teach you along the way.

☀️ Take up space
Your opinions, ideas, and presence matter. You don't have to shrink yourself to make others comfortable. Speak up, share your perspective, and allow yourself to be seen without apologizing for who you are.

Save this for later, and follow along as I share what I'm learning about confidence, self-growth, and building the life I love one day at a time. 💕

05/31/2026

I spent so many years waiting to feel confident...

I'm sure I'm not the only one, adding more excuses every time, waiting for just ONE more thing before I'm the right version of myself.

No one talks about this...

Confidence won't come from external factors or your appearance. It's going to come from showing up every day for yourself despite the fears and doubts!

When you want to quit, when you don't feel your best, and especially on days when your worst critic (your thoughts) make you feel like you're not enough.

I'm an introvert posting EVERY SINGLE DAY working towards my dream life.
I'm building the life I love every day and sharing the journey with YOU!

Follow along if this resonated with you, I'd think we'd be good friends 🫶🏼✨

This week really tried to take me out 😂😅

My mom is still recovering from surgery, my dog has been sick. I haven't slept properly in days. I haven't been in the kitchen once.

And I still posted every single day.

Not because everything was fine, because I owe it to myself and my dream not to stop.

PanPan Cafe Arcade has a pop-up coming in June! I have ideas I cannot wait to get into the kitchen and test, and I have a community of people who showed up for my direct to camera reels this week harder than they ever have before.

That last one meant more than you know ❤️

If you're also showing up during a week that is trying its hardest to knock you down...I see you, keep going.

Drop a 🌸 if you're building something during a hard season, you deserve to be seen for that.

People are always going to talk, don't let their negativity make you feel smaller.

Start working towards your dreams today, don't overthink it, just dive in 🌸

Working towards my dream gives me such fulfillment and I already know it's just a matter of time when I'll make it 🫶🏼✨

Here's exactly which piping tips I use for my vintage cakes, save this so you have it when you need it!

I figured this out the hard way so you don't have to. These tip numbers are based on Wilton tips, I bought a $20 starter kit when I was 14 and it's the same one I use today!

If you've ever wanted to start decorating cakes from home, you don't need a class. You just need the right tools and someone to show you. That's what I'm here for.

Save this, share it with your baker friends, and follow along! I'm building PanPan Cafe Arcade one cake at a time 🩷

I'm building a life I love, one day at a time 🫶🏼✨

05/26/2026

They had a lot of opinions about my dream...

They told me to pick something stable. So I cried in my car, went home, put on my apron, and kept baking anyway.

"Your dream's not realistic."
"Be grateful you have a real job."
"Everyone hates their job, it's normal."

I've heard all of it and yeah, some days it hit harder than I'd like to admit.

But I'm building PanPan Cafe Arcade one day at a time not because it's easy, but because I refuse to let someone else's fear become my ceiling.

I'll choose my dream anyway and I'm not quitting.

Follow along for the journey as I build the life I love one day at a time 🩷

The people I thought would support PanPan Cafe Arcade didn't. And honestly, it was the best thing that ever happened to me...

When I first started baking I was waiting for the people closest to me to notice, ask how it was going, to place an order, share my page, and most of them never did.Which for a while hurt more than I wanted to admit.

But then, strangers started showing up for me! People who had no reason to care about a girl in Las Vegas baking in a tiny kitchen after her 9-to-5. These people who commented, ordered, reposted, and sent my content to their friends.

That's when I realized PanPan Cafe Arcade was never meant for the people who didn't see or get my vision, it was meant for the ones who did.

If you're reading this right now, you're one of those people, and I don't take that lightly!

If a stranger has ever supported your dream more than someone you know, tell me below. You're not alone in this 🫶🏼

05/24/2026

Oversharing this little life of mine now that I've gained confidence, no regrets.

Follow along, I post every day and somehow I keep getting less scared.

The internet feels toxic sometimes like it's saying introverts don't belong here, I disagree.

Your quietness is not a personality flaw online, it's the thing that makes people trust you! And trust is everything.

Show up anyway, film yourself anyway, and post it.

I promise you the right people will find you and support you.

Let me know below if you're an introvert who is building something, I want to know you're out there 🫶🏼

Hi, if we haven't met yet, I'm Scarlet!

A first gen college graduate, 9-to-5 worker, home baker, and founder of PanPan Cafe Arcade a Las Vegas home bakery I built from scratch with no experience, no blueprint, and a lot of late nights.

I started this page because I couldn't find anyone who looked like me building something from nothing while still showing up to a day job. So I became that person.

If you have a dream you keep putting on hold follow along, we're figuring this out together.

Drop a 🌸 below and tell me what you're building!

What makes a perfect cookie? Honestly, three things 🍪 ✨

1. Brown butter.
If you're not browning your butter before mixing your cookie dough you are missing an entire layer of flavor that no amount of vanilla extract can replicate. It takes five extra minutes and it changes everything.

2. Chilling your dough.
I know, nobody wants to wait but chilling your cookie dough for at least 30 minutes before baking prevents spreading, deepens the flavor, and gives you that thick chewy center that people will love.

3. Pull them out early.
Cookies continue to bake on the pan after they come out of the oven. If they look done in the oven, they are already overdone. Pull them out of the oven when the edges are just set and the center still looks slightly underbaked. Trust the process, these are the three things that make PanPan Cafe Arcade cookies different.

Made to order with love in Las Vegas, order link in bio 🌸

Which one did you not know?

05/20/2026

The embarrassing rookie mistake that was ruining my cakes for longer than I want to admit 👀

Overfilling your cake pan is one of the most common baking mistakes and nobody talks about it enough. Here's the rule that changed everything for me...

Two thirds full, that's it. Give your batter room to rise, room to breathe, and room to actually bake through the center without collapsing.

I use my leftover batter for cupcakes or bento cakes so there's nothing wasted.

Save this so you never have to scrape burnt overflow off the bottom of your oven again 😅

Have you made this mistake before? drop a 🙋🏽‍♀️ below, you're not alone.

05/19/2026

If you run a home bakery, please don’t make these mistakes:

1. Pricing for people’s budgets instead of your effort.
It took me a while to create a spreadsheet for my expenses and actually cost out my menu items. When I first started I would undercharge because I was new at baking for profit... people obviously took advantage 😅 but I learned that I had to actually do the math and charge my price based on my expenses.

2. Accepting last-minute orders.
I didn't actually have time for some of the last minute orders that I took. Through experience, I learned that I had built a system and paced myself with orders for my benefit. Whenever I took a last minute order, it made me feel exhausted and most of the time I felt that I wasn't presenting my best work which made me feel terrible!

3.Building a bakery without building a brand.
I had no idea that I needed a brand until people got me confused with another baker in the area. There's a lot of home bakers out there, having your own brand makes you stand out and memorable. I also had to rebrand because my logo was getting people confused 😂. A brand is essential for clients to find you and remember you!

Cute desserts get attention.
Connection gets repeat customers. 🤍

Save this for later, baker friends ✨

05/18/2026

I made myself a promise at the start of this year about PanPan Cafe Arcade. Then life showed up with house hunting and long work weeks and days where I couldn't bake a single thing 😅

But here's what I've learned, building your dream doesn't stop when life gets loud. It just looks quieter for a while, priorities shift.

I've been planning, posting, signing up for pop-up markets, learning, and showing up even when the kitchen light stayed off.

The pop-ups are coming, the baking is coming, the version of PanPan Cafe Arcade I keep imagining is coming.

I'm just in the part of the story that happens before the good part...and I'm okay with that!

Which part of this felt most like your life right now? Drop it below 👇🏼

Nobody handed me a blueprint, so I built one as I went 🫣

This is what first gen entrepreneurship actually looks like not the highlight reel, the real version.

Save this if you're also figuring it out alone. you're not as alone as you think.

Drop a 🌸 if you're a dreamer building something too. I want to know who's figuring it all out without a blueprint!

10 things I don't do anymore as an introvert who is good with showing up anyway ✨

1. Film 47+ takes before posting, I'm done worrying about perfection in my content, my audience can feel the difference and they appreciate the messy stuff.

2. Wait to feel confident before starting, I overcame that through filming myself in public and facing my fear.

3. Over-explain my content before I post it, stressing about whether people would know what I'm trying to do and say. Now I just post.

4. Hide behind a perfect aesthetic, real and imperfect outperforms polished every single time. I never actually had an aesthetic and I still don't.

5. Apologize for wanting to be seen. I realize I have something worth sharing and what I share has helped others.

6. Let the fear of cringe stop me, everything looks cringe at first. Now if I'm cringing about my content, it means I'm doing something right.

7. Compare my chapter one to someone else's chapter ten different timelines, same dream.

8. Wait for the people around me to understand what I'm building, some people will only get it once it's done.

9. Scroll instead of create, every minute I spend watching someone else's life is a minute I'm not building mine. I now create more than I consume content!

10. Shrink myself to make other people comfortable, my dream doesn't fit in a small box and neither do I.

Save this if you needed permission to just show up 🫶🏼

Your cake is not the problem, your technique is...and I say that with love 🫶🏼

Spent way too long figuring these out the hard way so you don't have to! Droopy frosting, bulging cakes, sunken middles, and cracking tops that makes you want to throw everything away. We've all been there, here's exactly what's going wrong and how to fix it.

1. Droopy frosting
If your frosting looks like it's melted and slides off your cake...Your frosting is too warm, overmixed, or your kitchen is just too hot. To fix this, make sure to put your cake layers in the fridge and that they're cold before you add frosting. If your frosting is too soft, leave it in the fridge for about 10 to 15 minutes until it stiffens. Or if you use buttercream like me, gradually add more powdered sugar until it's stiffer and easier to work with.

2. Bulge on the side of the cake
That bubble on the side of your frosted cake is trapped air. If you have any fillings, make sure you don't overfill the layers and make sure to gently press everything together after filling so it becomes even. That will also help prevent a lopsided cake. Then you can add your crumb coat! A crumb coat is a foundational layer of frosting to "glue" crumbs for a smooth looking finish, make sure that it's thin.

3. Sunken middle and cracked top
If your cake has a sunken middle, your oven is lying to you. Make sure to lower the temp by 25 degrees of whatever the recipe calls for and bake your cake for longer. If it's pulling away from the sides, you overmixed the batter, make sure you fold in the flour gently. It's okay if you see a few streaks of flour, it will fix itself during baking.

Save this for the next time your kitchen is giving you a hard time 🍰

Which one have you experienced? Let me know in the comments either 1, 2, or 3 👇🏼

10 habits to start before 27 that nobody talks about enough, saving this one for myself too 🌸

1. Action creates experience and readiness so start before you feel ready. Readiness is a constant feeling that never fully arrives.

2. Learn one thing about money every month. Savings accounts, LLCs, taxes, or even simple budgeting, just learn some basics because nobody teaches us this and it costs us later.

3. Film your ordinary days, we think because we're young we will remember everything we live now. You will want to remember this era more than you think and you'll forget some important things so it's nice to have a video or picture for the memories.

4. Stop explaining your dreams to people who aren't building anything. Protect your vision and don't take advice from people who are in a position you don't want for yourself.

5. Build something of your own that makes you happy, even if it's small, even while working a job you didn't plan on keeping forever.

6. Let people support you and help you. Saying yes to help is not weakness, it's a necessity that we shouldn't have to struggle with.

7. Show up for yourself the same way you show up for everyone else. You deserve that consistency too and be mindful of who shows up for you in your time of need and who doesn't.

8. Learn how to receive a compliment without deflecting it. (I really struggle with this 🫣) You deserve praise and it's important to celebrate any achievement whether big or small.

9. Rest whenever you need to, it's not something that you need to earn.

10. Stop downplaying what's important to you. If you treat your goals and dreams as impossible, stupid, or unimportant, that's what they will become.

Which one do you need to hear most right now?

Most small business orders are ashamed about these but I'm not...

1. Orders are not consistent.
I usually go weeks or even months without orders and everyone says I should lie to people and tell them I'm always booked to increase interest. I prefer to be honest and show my struggles so that I can attract the right audience for my brand. Everyone starts somewhere, at times I'm very busy and others not so much.

2. I have no idea what I'm doing half the time.
I feel like every time I look there's a new law or restriction I have to learn to keep my business complaint. Which means more fees and licenses or even worse, business taxes 🥲. I'm literally learning about business and marketing as I go! Even though I studied hospitality management in college, there's still so much more they don't teach you that you can only learn from experience.

3. I don't have everything I need (space, time, money) and my business is growing anyways.
I work a full time job and work on my business daily. My kitchen is small and honestly I probably spend more than I should on testing out recipes and baking for pop ups. However, with the exposure I get online and through pop ups I'm able to get some orders and have people recognize my brand! That means growth, it's not always about money because that will come the more I continue.

Follow along as I build the life I love one day at a time 🫶🏼
Are you a small business owner? ✨🤔

You're not behind...

You're exactly where you're supposed to be and making progress unless you stop. I honestly forget to look back on my achievements and see how far I've come.

When I first started I never thought I'd even pass 500 followers or even show my face on camera. Whatever your goals are, they only become possible as long as you keep going.

I'm building a life I love one day at a time, follow along and let's do it together 🫶🏼
