A first birthday cake so special, it made an appearance for the next generation. 🎂💗

Years ago, I created a magical birthday cake for a little girl. It featured a miniature nature scene with tiny bridges, a flowing stream, flowers, ducks and rabbits all finished with intricate hand-piped basketweave and latticework.

That little girl grew up.

When it was time to celebrate her own daughter’s first birthday, she returned with one special request:

Make my daughter the cake you made for me.

So I did.

After more than three decades at the pastry bench, I’ve learned that a beautiful cake is only part of the story. The most meaningful creations become part of a family’s traditions.

From one generation to the next.

🎈 Happy 4th Birthday to our friends at Augustine’s Salumeria! One of my Westchester favorites for incredible warm hospitality, and unforgettable meals.

🎉 And a very Happy 50th Birthday to Chef Mark! Wishing you a year filled with good health, great food, and plenty of reasons to celebrate.

One of the best parts of being a neighborhood bakery is getting to help celebrate the milestones of fellow local businesses and the people who make our community special. Thank you for letting us be a small part of your celebrations.
