Our Hunter Park GardenHouse needs volunteers!

Developed out of an area that was once a garbage dump and gravel pit, our Hunter Park GardenHouse is a neighborhood-based educational farm and community garden. The GardenHouse centers programming in three areas: home gardening education for all ages, fresh food access, and urban ecological restoration. Projects include a robust workshop series, the Urban Gardener Certificate Course, a free-to-all community garden and orchard called Edible Park, produce grown for donation, native wildflower demonstration gardens, and more.

This project is only possible because of the incredible support we've gotten through our neighborhood, with volunteers contributing 2000 hours of support every year since 2023. Come join the wonderful community making the Eastside beautiful and full of free produce!

Shifts are on Mondays from 10:00 AM-12:00 PM or Thursdays from 4:00-6:00 PM. Click on the link below to sign up to volunteer!

We had our first market of the season yesterday!!! 🫶🏼🩷🥳
Although I miss my past community people & friends, I’m very grateful for my new community here in Lansing!!!

-our offerings this year-
• variety of sourdough breads 
• Sourdough chocolate ganache stuffed croissants (more flavors in the future 🤤😉)
• Sourdough cinnamon roll focaccia 
• Variety of French macarons
• The Dubai pistachio chocolate bar
• Other specialty chocolates
• Specialty pancake mixes

-also in the future will be some tea blends and a few other special items on occasion

We are gearing up to start market season in just a little over a week!!!
We will be at the Allen Farmers Market every Wednesday from 3 pm-6:30 pm starting May 13th!!!

We will have a variety of delicious flavor packed, sourdough breads, sourdough cinnamon roll focaccia, sourdough stuffed croissants (stuffed with a chocolate whipped ganache), a variety of French Macarons, The Dubai chocolate candy bar, and some other specialty chocolates, some specialty pancake mixes, and when weather permits some tea blends in the near future.

Experimenting with some Classic Sandwich Sourdough bread and of course if I’m making Sourdough, I have to make some of our Seed Crusted Traverse City Cherry Sourdough bread as well!!! 🍒😅😩🤭😏

Some days you wake up convinced you’re building something legendary, and by lunch you’re Googling things you feel like you should already know.

But here’s the truth: the same uncertainty that makes you question yourself is proof you’re operating at the edge of your growth. If it felt calm all the time, you’d be playing too small.💪🏆

👉 Discomfort isn’t a punishment, it’s a signal.

Everyone wants the results of growth, just not the part where life stretches you, breaks patterns, and forces you to confront the stuff you’ve been avoiding. But that’s the toll. You don’t get to upgrade and stay the same.

Most people tap out the moment things stop feeling easy, then call it “bad timing” or “not meant to be.” In reality, they just ran from the part that mattered.

If everything feels shaky, good. It means you’re not stuck anymore. Growth always feels like instability before it feels like expansion.💪🔥
