We’re trading our usual cozy tea afternoons for a little midnight magic, and I couldn’t be more excited!

We’re joining our friends at Inklings Bookshoppe and Second Story for the Harmony Ball Midnight Release of A Court of Splintered Harmony (ACOTAR 6)! ✨

Think a little starlight, a little mischief, and an evening spent celebrating our return to Prythian with fellow book lovers.

And of course, The Briar & Lantern will be adding a little magic of our own, too! 🫖✨

I had a feeling All Hallows Tea might be our biggest one because COME ON… the theme. 😂 But you guys showing up for these nights before Briar & Lantern is even open will never not be a little wild to me.

This Friday we set the table for our third and final Founding Tea. Good food, lots of tea, candlelight, and a couple hours to sit around a table and just have FUN.

If you’ve been watching these and thinking I really need to go to one of those…

Apparently you can’t just ✨manifest✨ a bookshop & tea house into existence. 😂

We’ve been talking with contractors, making plans, changing plans, and learning approximately 47 things I never expected to know about commercial buildouts.

And while I wish I could tell you The Briar & Lantern will be open tomorrow… it’s looking more and more like January may be our time.

BUT. We’re not disappearing until then. Quite the opposite. 🤎 We’ve got tea to pour, books to talk about, events to plan, and a few ideas brewing for how we can make the wait a whole lot more fun.

The lantern is still very much lit. 🕯️🌿

OKAY FINE. YOU CAN ALL SEE IT NOW. 😂🍂

The October menu is HERE and I have been waiting all week to stop keeping secrets from you people. 😂

We went cozy, a little moody, a little pumpkin-y, brought hot tea back because IT IS OCTOBER EVEN IF FLORIDA REFUSES TO PARTICIPATE. 🫖😂

And yes…

MATCHA IS BACK. 🍵

Except obviously I couldn’t just bring her back normally, so meet the Pumpkin Pie Matcha. 🎃 Creamy, pumpkin-y, layered and honestly just LOOK AT HER.

There are new scones, new sweets, fall teas and plenty of reasons to come pretend it’s 62 degrees outside with me. 🍂😂

Maybe this is part of why tomorrow night means so much to me. 🤎

I remember when these were the books you hid on the back of the shelf. Now we’re throwing midnight release parties for them.

And I LOVE that.

Tomorrow night we’re getting together for our first official bookish event, the Threshing Day Midnight Release Party, and I cannot wait to be in a room full of people who are just as excited about fictional worlds and fictional people as I am. 😂

Come fangirl with us. Come talk theories. Come eat themed treats. Come be way too invested in all of it.

Starting a new little series because apparently I cannot read a good book without a good cup of tea ☁️📚

This week I’m reading Iron Flame from the Fourth Wing series, so obviously I needed something strong.

Dragons, battles, fighting, emotional damage… it called for a black tea.

But I chose one with vanilla because what is a good book without a little romance in it? Hello?

And then I picked this teacup because the little filigree details reminded me of dragon scales - the way they curve and twist just felt very dragon-y to me. It’s delicate, but still has a strong feel to it, which honestly fits the book and the main character so well.

So this week’s pairing:
Iron Flame + vanilla black tea 🐉☕️
