Hi guys! Yesterday I was in Shoreline visiting a client and, lo and behold, there was their farmers market! Rows of vendors and parking for days.

I didn’t get a chance to stop, but I notice things 👀 And what I noticed was… there just weren’t many shoppers.

It made me a little sad thinking about all the work those local small businesses put into preparing, setting up and showing up, only to have such a quiet day.

So here’s my little Sunday challenge: go visit a local farmers market! ❤️

Every market is different. Different foods, handmade goods, local businesses, and sometimes some really unusual finds you’d never come across anywhere else.

And after seeing that yesterday, I’ve decided I’m making it my personal mission to start visiting other farmers markets too!

I see the buttercream. SO. MUCH. BUTTERCREAM. 😂

This is the part of baking that usually doesn’t make it into the pretty cake photos — giant batches of frosting, bowls everywhere, dishes multiplying when I’m not looking, and me wondering if I made enough.

Spoiler: I usually make more. 😂

But eventually, this unreasonable amount of buttercream turns into something pretty. 🎂💜

I’ll walk you through everything step-by-step, and you’ll leave with 6 decorated cookies, some new skills, and probably a little icing on yourself somewhere.
